Astrology Forecast for August 11-17, 2025

Unless I provide a specific timeframe, we’ll feel the energies 24-72 hours in advance of the date I mention (the date when the planetary alignment is exact).  They will be gaining in strength as they approach the date.  We will also feel them for 24-48 hours after, but they will be losing strength with each passing hour. 

This Week: Executive Summary 😉

Mercury goes direct on August 11! Hallelujah! But, it stays in its Storm (moving very slowly in the skies) until August 17, so there is still a chance of mishaps related to communication, messages, and schedules. 

This week also brings an interesting celestial quirk! Mercury will make an extended sextile to Mars, between August 13-17.  

To make the best of this week's energies:

• Sit out a lengthy Moon void-of-course period on Monday (see "Moon Void of Course" below).  
  
  
• Take advantage of an extended Mercury-Mars sextile that lasts most of the week, especially if you need to sign a contract, conduct negotiations, or provide an important presentation at work.  Just make sure to read the fine print!  Mercury is still in its Storm this week.
  
  
• Take advantage of the extended Opportunity Period on the weekend! Opportunity Periods are when the Moon makes favourable aspects only before she leaves the sign she is in, aiding most undertakings.  

If You're Working with the Lunar Cycle for Manifestation... 

The Moon is now waning, and Mercury repositions in the skies this week.  Review the intention(s) you set on the New Moon, and do a "retrospective":  is there anything YOU need to start doing, stop doing or keep doing, for your intention to manifest?

And lean into the healing energy of the Moon in Pisces early in the week.  Affirm:  "I trust that the Universe is aligning all the pieces I need, behind the scenes". 

If Your Birthday is This Week:

There is a high chance the both benefics, Venus and Jupiter, will end up in the same House in your Solar Return chart (a predictive technique to assess your 12 months ahead).  One area of your life will be receiving an outsized measure of opportunities and luck. How nice!

If you need to sign a contract, conduct a negotiation, provide an important presentation, buy a car, or start an e-commerce business, chances of a successful outcome improve once Mercury turns direct.

But the PROCESS of getting there can still be glitchy this week, since Mercury stays in its Storm (moving very slowly) until August 17. 

Proofread all important documents and don't get too frustrated with minor hiccups. 

If you want to take advantage of the jubilant energy of the Venus-Jupiter conjunction, it's better to do so on August 10, before a lengthy Moon-void-of-course period sets in (see Moon Void of Course below).  Charge a citrine + rose quartz for luck in romantic matters.  Or a citrine + pyrite to boost your financial luck.

✨  August 13 - 17:  Extended Mercury-Mars sextile.
