Astrology Forecast for August 18-24, 2025

This Week: Executive Summary 😉

This week brings two lovely Opportunity Periods and the New Moon in Virgo.  And, the Sun enters Virgo on August 22.  Happy Birthday to my Virgo readers!

If You're Working with the Lunar Cycle for Manifestation... 

The Moon is Balsamic mid-week.  It's an inauspicious time for new beginnings.  Wrap up projects already in progress; declutter; recharge.  You can't reach for the stars if your hands are full of yesterday's clutter, as they say! 

The New Moon, at 0°  Virgo, is the time to set intentions for what you want to attract into your life.  Virgo-related themes will get an extra boost.  Think a healthy diet, exercise, productive work environment, and improved organizational skills (for those of us who can be a little scattered).

If Your Birthday is This Week:

If your birthday is between August 20-29, your Sun will be square Uranus in your Solar Return chart.  Next 12 months may bring unexpected or surprising developments. Changes that you initiate could either not pan out, or turn out to be temporary (for example, if you decide to move, you could move again within 1-2 years). 

If your birthday falls on or around August 22,  your Solar Return chart will feature several lovely aspects made by the Moon.  Emotionally, it could be a very pleasant and social year. 

And, if your birthday falls on August 22/23 (Pacific to Eastern time), this is also your New Moon year - a year of new beginnings.  Your next 12 months can be quite impactful.

This is an awesome Opportunity Period to process your emotions, have a good time with family, and to indulge your romantic side.  The Moon in family-oriented Cancer makes fantastic connections with Jupiter and Venus.

Opportunity Periods are auspicious periods in the Lunar Cycle, when the Moon makes positive aspects only before she leaves the sign she is in.  

✨  August 20, 2:07 a.m. to August 23, 2:07 a.m. PDT: Balsamic Moon

There is just a tiny little sliver of the Moon left in the sky... not enough power to help your new and important undertakings to take off the ground.  Balsamic Moon is inauspicious for new beginnings.  

Tie loose ends.  Declutter.  Emotional decluttering counts, too!  Create some energetic space in your life and your home, to welcome new beginnings on the upcoming New Moon.
