Astrology Forecast for July 27 - August 2, 2026

Note: Dates and times in this forecast are given in Pacific Time (PDT). If you're in a different time zone, please adjust accordingly — for some time zones, this may mean a different day entirely.

Unless I provide a specific timeframe, we'll feel the energies 24–72 hours before the date I mention (the date when the planetary alignment is exact).

They'll gain strength as they approach, and linger for 24–48 hours after, gradually fading with each passing hour.

💫 To Make the Most of This Week:

We're heading into the eclipse season. The energies of the Solar Eclipse in Leo will start coming in on August 5, leading up to the eclipse on August 12. Eclipse season is not the best time for making major decisions or initiating important undertakings, because the energies are too unstable, and the outcome might not be what you expect.

So do what you need to do this week! It brings an absolutely fantastic Opportunity Period, the Sun-Jupiter conjunction, and a well positioned Full Moon in Aquarius.

Most of the planetary action happens on Monday and Wednesday, and then the energies become more chill.

Here is what to prioritize — and sidestep — in the week ahead:

  • If you're planning to apply for a leadership position, pitch something to the big boss, or promote yourself and your skills, don't miss the Opportunity Period on Monday. The only catch is, it falls outside usable hours for many North American time zones.

  • Pay attention to a lengthy Moon void-of-course on Tuesday. Don't initiate anything you want to grow and succeed. (dates and times below 👇🏼).

  • For the metaphysically inclined, charge a citrine for luck on Wednesday. For everyone else, work with the energy of the Full Moon in Aquarius:  celebrate the unique qualities that make you YOU! Societal fads come and go. Find your own North Star.

  • If you're planning a first date this week, avoid Monday-Wednesday (Venus square Mars).  Save it for Saturday.

  • On Friday and Saturday, spend some time unplugging, with a good book or a movie. Or book a Tarot reading.  Pay attention to your dreams.  (The Moon is in intuitive Pisces).

💫 Key Astro-Events:

Here's the full scoop:

JULY 27:  Opportunity Period:  5:08 p.m. to 11:11 p.m. PDT

If you're new to Opportunity Periods, think of them as "electional astrology lite". If you don't have time or knowledge to build a full electional chart, an Opportunity Period is your next best option for timing something important.

If it works for your time zone, this is a fantastic Opportunity Period! The Sun, strongly positioned in its own sign — Leo — is getting ready to make a conjunction with Jupiter and to trine Saturn.  The Moon makes a harmonious trine to Venus.

The Sun sextiles Uranus and trines Neptune, but it's the Opportunity Period I'd like to highlight.

Best for:

✅ Launching a creative project

✅ Announcing or promoting your business or your expertise - make a pitch to your boss at work!

✅ Applying for positions of leadership or greater responsibility

✅ Setting long-range personal or professional goals

✅ Meeting with mentors, bosses, or professional contacts

Avoid:

This Opportunity Period is not good for:

⚠️ Romantic matters (Venus is getting ready to square Mars)

JULY 27-29:  Venus Square Mars

 Avoid:

⚠️ First dates

⚠️ Activities that require collaboration

JULY 29:  Sun Conjunct Jupiter;  Full Moon in Aquarius @ 7:36 a.m. PDT

For the metaphysically inclined, charge a citrine for luck and optimism.  You won't find a better Full Moon for it.

If you tend to keep people at arm's length, this is also a great Full Moon to release fears of forming strong emotional attachments.  (Yes, I know... falling in love strips our armor and makes us vulnerable.  But is your armor going to keep you warm at night?)

JULY 31-AUGUST 1:  Waning Moon in Pisces

Best for:

Creative or spiritual pursuits

Connecting with your intuition.  Pay attention to your dreams or book a Tarot reading.

🕰️ Moon Void of Course

And here is a quick summary of the void-of-course times this week. Avoid starting anything new you want to succeed during these periods:

  • July 27, 11:11 p.m. to July 28 6:46 p.m. PDT — this is a long one. Pay attention!
  • July 30, 2:27 p.m. to July 31, 5:14 a.m. PDT — another long one.
  • August 1, 5:53 a.m. to 1:37 p.m. PDT.
