Eclipses in Aquarius and Leo, 2026-2028

If you want to understand where some of the biggest global shifts will land, watch the eclipses. They’re astrology’s wild cards — and they rarely miss.
I’ve been tracking eclipses for years, and the sign they fall in (and the planets they touch) consistently reveal where new developments, shocks, and turning points are about to unfold. These patterns show up on the world stage and in our personal lives when an eclipse activates our natal chart.
But here’s the tricky part: while eclipses always bring movement and surprises, it’s not always obvious how that energy will manifest.
The astrological sign of an eclipse provides many helpful clues, and this is what this post is about.
For countries, the House in the chart of the country that is being visited by an eclipse often holds important clues.
And in your own natal chart, the House will give you context, but that's just one part of the picture. The planet an eclipse touches is often the real key.
👉🏼 If you want to learn how to interpret eclipses in your own chart — or in the chart of your country — I’ll be teaching all of this inside my upcoming webinar, Eclipses for the Savvy Seeker. It’s practical, hands‑on, and based on over 5,000 readings I’ve done to date.
But for now, let’s look at what’s happening collectively.
🌘 Where We Are Now: Pisces–Virgo Eclipses (2024–2027)
Eclipses move in pairs along the signs of the Lunar Nodes. Since 2024, the nodes have been traveling through Pisces and Virgo, and we’ve been seeing the themes of these signs play out globally.
In a post I wrote almost 18 months ago, I predicted:
- shocks to the labour market
- instability around borders and national sovereignty
- disruptions connected to oil and the oil industry
And what did we see?
- Unexpected federal worker layoffs in the U.S. (DOGE, anyone?)
- Canada following with its own public‑sector cuts
- Escalating conversations about borders and sovereignty (Canada as the 51st state, annexation of Greenland)
- And oil and the oil industry, ruled by Pisces? I have one word for you: Venezuela.
These are classic Pisces–Virgo eclipse signatures: instability, restructuring, and sudden shifts in systems we rely on.
We still have two more Pisces–Virgo eclipses coming on March 3, 2026 and August 27, 2026, so these themes aren’t done with us yet. You can read my post about the Pisces-Virgo eclipses here.
🌕 What’s Changing: Aquarius–Leo Eclipses Begin in 2026
In July 2026, the nodal axis shifts into Aquarius–Leo, introducing a brand‑new set of collective themes. But before the nodes officially move, we get an early preview: a Solar Eclipse in Aquarius on February 17, 2026.
This eclipse is important. It will foreshadow the energies we’ll be working with from 2026 to 2028.
So what do Aquarius and Leo rule, in mundane astrology (astrology of world events)?
- governments, leaders, political parties
- human rights, freedom and independence
- cultural morality and collective mindset
- scientific breakthroughs
- technology and electronic devices
- broadcasters, television, and other platforms that deliver information
- air travel, airplanes and airports
- progressive movements
- athletes and celebrities rising or falling from prominence
- luxury goods, entertainment and leisure industries (including parks, recreation, casinos, resorts, and vacations)
- gold
- electricity and electromagnetic field.
Expect shake‑ups, breakthroughs, and sudden shifts in these areas.
🏛️ Governments, Leaders, and Political Parties
We’re already living through intense geopolitical turbulence, and much of it is tied to the rare Saturn–Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries — a signature historically linked to major political realignments.
Past Saturn–Neptune conjunctions brought:
- the U.S. annexation of Texas and New Mexico (1845)
- the Russian Revolution (1917)
- the U.S. annexation of the Virgin Islands (1917)
- the fall of the Berlin Wall and the U.S. invasion of Panama (1989)
These are not small events.
The upcoming Aquarius Solar Eclipse on February 17, 2026 is especially impactful for the United States — and for President Trump’s natal chart. It’s no surprise that we may see:
- political leaders rising or falling
- major party shifts
- changes in leadership structures
- instability in governments
- the emergence (or collapse) of political movements
Aquarius eclipses shake the system.
✊ Human Rights
Aquarius eclipses often shine a spotlight on human rights — sometimes through crises, sometimes through breakthroughs, and often through both at once.
These eclipses tend to bring:
- public conversations about fairness and equality
- pressure for reform
- new groups or movements forming
- collective action around social issues
They can also expose where systems are failing people, which is why these periods can feel intense or unsettling. But historically, Aquarius eclipses also coincide with moments when communities mobilize, organize, and push for meaningful change.
🔥 Shifts in Cultural Morality and Mindset
This ties directly into the major energetic shift we’re experiencing as Saturn and Neptune move into Aries. After years of Pisces influence — compassion, collective empathy, social causes — we enter a very different landscape.
Aries energy is assertive, individualistic, and sometimes confrontational.
Neptune glamorizes whatever it touches. As it enters Aries, we may see:
- “me first” attitudes
- nationalism and self‑protectionism
- assertiveness that borders on aggression
But there’s a positive expression too:
- entrepreneurship
- bold new beginnings
- reclaiming personal agency
- taking decisive action
This shift will shape the cultural tone of 2026–2028.
🧬 Scientific Discoveries and Breakthroughs
Here’s some good news: Neptune is beautifully supported in 2026, receiving harmonious aspects from Pluto, Saturn, and Uranus. Combined with Aquarius eclipses, this is a signature for:
- medical breakthroughs
- new treatments or “wonder drugs”
- technological leaps
- scientific innovation that changes how we live
And, throughout 2026-2028, we'll experience a series of Uranus-Pluto trines, that stimulate innovation in technology.
This is one of the most promising parts of the upcoming cycle.
🎭 Athletes, Entertainers, and Public Figures
With eclipses in Leo — and Jupiter entering Leo in July 2026 — we may see:
- new celebrities rising to prominence
- athletes breaking records or becoming household names
- shifts in entertainment culture
- a return to glamour, bold fashion, and luxury
After years of “comfort wear everywhere,” Leo energy says: “Let’s dress up again.”
But eclipses always bring surprises, so expect twists.
💎 Luxury Goods and the Leisure Industries
Leo rules luxury, pleasure, creativity, and celebration.
With Jupiter joining the party:
- luxury goods may surge in popularity
- fashion may swing toward bold, expressive styles
- the entertainment and leisure industries may see unexpected shifts
But eclipses can also bring volatility — especially in industries tied to gold, speculation and stock market, or high‑end markets.
🌩️ Weather and Natural Phenomena
Eclipses in Aquarius and Leo can also affect whether patterns:
- unusually hot summers
- unusually cold or snowy winters
- lightning storms
- wind storms
- electromagnetic disruptions
Expect the unexpected — especially in regions already prone to extremes.
