Jupiter in Leo: 2026-2027

Jupiter, the planet of expansion and opportunities, is about to finish its journey through Cancer. It moves into glamorous Leo on June 29, 2026, where it will stay until July 26, 2027.

In this post, I cover several things to keep in mind, including the overall impacts of Jupiter in Leo, and special periods to pay attention to.

Let's first look at what Jupiter in Leo means for us as the collective, and then move on to its impacts at a personal level.

Sectors that May Flourish When Jupiter is in Leo:

Jupiter's transit of a particular sign often boosts industries associated with that sign.

As Jupiter is leaving Cancer, let's quickly revisit my prediction from last year: that Jupiter can bring a high demand OR over-supply related to real estate and housing, grocery stores, and silver.

Silver nearly doubled in price during Jupiter's transit of Cancer.

Real estate - at least here in Canada - experienced over-supply in some of the major urban areas, depressing prices. Good for buyers, but not for sellers.

And grocery prices, sadly, kept outpacing the overall rate of inflation 😕

As we look at the sectors that may flourish when Jupiter is in Leo, keep that same caution in mind: Jupiter can increase demand, but it can also bring excesses. For the consumer, the effect can be positive - or negative.

Jupiter's transit of Leo can affect some - or all - of the following areas:

• Gold and gold-mining industry
  • Jupiter opposes Pluto in July. Expect volatility. Prices may go up or down, but should stabilize by early September 2026.
• Can increase demand for (or supply of) high-end or luxury goods
• In economics, flashy, attention-grabbing projects can be in vogue, even if they're impractical.
• Government spending may increase.
• There may be big-ticket entertainment events and new blockbusters.
• New athletes or stars can rise to prominence and fame.
• Gambling, casinos, and predictive markets can be in the spotlight in some way.
• National pride can surge, leading to nationalism.
• Charismatic leaders may rise to power.

Special Periods During Jupiter's Stay in Leo

Generally, Jupiter brings expansion, blessings and opportunities. But, there is a caveat: much depends on how Jupiter gets along with the other planets (the aspects it makes).

For example, in 2023, when Jupiter was in Taurus, which is typically a financial sign, it should have been a good year for the banking sector EXCEPT Jupiter formed a volatile square to Pluto in April 2023, further set off by an eclipse. And we had a banking mini-crisis instead.

Jupiter is Part of a Minor Triangle: July 2026

Jupiter's biggest show comes soon after it enters Leo. On July 20, Jupiter, Neptune and Uranus all align in a Minor Triangle (4° Leo/4° Aries/4° Gemini).

While Jupiter, Neptune and Uranus all get along, Jupiter also opposes Pluto on the same day - July 20.

My initial hope was that there would be a breakthrough concerning pharmaceuticals (Neptune rules drugs and pharmaceuticals). But in light of the current situation with the Strait of Hormuz, it's also possible oil prices will peak mid-July to early August.

Jupiter-Saturn Trines: 2026-2027

While in Leo, Jupiter will make a series of supportive trines to Saturn in Aries. If this trine aligns with your natal chart, it can be so much more beneficial than a Jupiter transit on its own!

Jupiter brings opportunities, but they don't always deliver — Saturn, on the other hand, turns them into reality.

• April 3, 2027 - 17° Aries/Leo
• July 11, 2027 - 27° Aries/Leo

Let Me Tell You a Little-Known Secret...

Jupiter slows down in the skies before it changes direction (just like any other planet) - which astrologers refer to as "stationing". And, if it just so happens that Jupiter's station falls close to your personal planets or the angles in your natal chart, you can have an extended period of opportunities!

Jupiter will be stationed at:

• 26° Leo between Nov. 18 - Jan. 7, 2027.
• 17° Leo between March 17 - May 8, 2027.

Final Thoughts

When Jupiter changes signs, it's always an exciting shift. A new area in our life receives a big dose of optimism, new opportunities, and sometimes just plain old good luck 🍀

Get into the habit of tracking Jupiter through your natal chart. Something related to the House (area of your life) Jupiter is visiting is about to expand.

Sometimes it's good news, for example, a side hustle that gives your finances a welcome boost. And sometimes not so much! Your waistline can expand when Jupiter moves through your 1st House 😉 But there are also SO MANY good things about Jupiter's transit through the 1st House, too!

Look at the House (=area of your life) that is in Leo. That's where you'll likely experience expansion in the next 12 months. Keep an eye out for opportunities and unexpected blessings.

So that's Jupiter...but what's even more beneficial than Jupiter transits? Uranus-Pluto trines! We last experienced them in 1922, and they are blooming again between 2026-2028.
