For the manifestor, this New Moon is THE day of the year to connect with your
superpower (we all have at least one!), to invite more passion into your life, and to ask for transformational change if you feel stuck.  

It's also a great New Moon to ask for increased resolve and determination to accomplish something.

And that “something” can include getting rid of unhelpful habits (good-bye, smoking!), debt, or deep-seated emotions such as guilt, resentment, envy and jealousy. And so it’s a very powerful New Moon, but also very healing.

I remember attending a team meeting with a group of young interns we hired. I was checking in about their experience at work so far. For many, it was their first job. "Well, I guess that's what being a working adult feels like", said a dark-haired young woman, lighting the Zoom meeting with an infectious smile. "Adulting is hard!" I heard this phrase before, and still it made me laugh. It was so perfectly Saturn. 

After 4 ½ months in Retrograde, Saturn, the planet of responsibility and commitment – but also of challenges and restrictions – turns direct on November 4. And when it visits our natal chart, that's exactly what it's asking us to do - to become (even) more of an adult, regardless of our age.

November starts with strong Scorpio energies, great for business and career pursuits - but also for shadow work, counselling and research. But, watch out for a judgmental Sun-Saturn square on Thanksgiving!  The best energies of the month arrive between November 14 and 22. Astrology keeps us connected with the larger cycles of the Universe. As the Sun travels through the Zodiac, each month we get a chance to “try on” the qualities of that sign. When the Sun is in Scorpio, work on self-limiting beliefs, karmic "knots" (your astrological chart will highlight them), and on embracing your power.

There is a strong and powerful T-Square (a dynamic and tense energy) in the skies at the time of the eclipse. The ruler of this eclipse - Venus- is well positioned however.  She is a part of a lovely Grand Trine (a beneficial energy flow) that also includes Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto.

This eclipse can bring some unexpected shake ups and developments, and some unexpected reversals - especially in financial matters. They may be for good OR bad. 

As with all eclipses, the energy is unpredictable but also very, very powerful.  

Fate or free will? This one is a BIG question! How much of our life is pre-determined, and how much can we change? Most of my clients believe in free will, and so do I. 

This New Moon is also a powerful Solar Eclipse! 

Astrologically speaking, the New Moon is the time to set intentions for what you want to attract into your life. And eclipses are very powerful portals. Intentions set on an eclipse can manifest fast, but they can materialize in an unexpected way. If something feels stuck in your life, setting an intention on an eclipse may be just what you need.

If you're not afraid of some twists and turns, today is THE day of the year to let the Universe know that you're ready for happy, harmonious relationships - including romantic relationships.

 

October is tense and powerful.  We head into the eclipse season.  Pluto is stationed in the skies, and the Sun, Mercury and Mars take turns poking Pluto's powerful energy. But, October is also a great month to reconnect with your personal power.  You can get a lot accomplished if you stay focused.  And, if you feel like your love life is non-existent no matter what you try, don't miss the Solar Eclipse/New Moon on October 14! 

Astrologically speaking, the Full Moon is the time to celebrate our successes and progress this lunar cycle, give thanks - and then to start releasing what no longer serves us.

This Full Moon is great for bringing assertiveness (Aries) and collaboration (Libra) into balance in your life, especially in relationships. 

If you need to let go of non-constructive anger and impatience, this Full Moon is for you! 

When we start learning astrology, there is so much to take in. The planets. Aspects. Signs. Modalities. Asteroids. Transits.

And so we rush past our natal Sun, in our impatience to learn more exciting things.  "Surely I know everything there is to know? I'm a Taurus!"
