Astrology Forecast for August 10-16, 2026
Note: Dates and times in this forecast are given in Pacific Time (PDT). If you're in a different time zone, please adjust accordingly — for some time zones, this may mean a different day entirely.
Unless I provide a specific timeframe, we'll feel the energies 24–72 hours before the date I mention (the date when the planetary alignment is exact).
They'll gain strength as they approach, and linger for 24–48 hours after, gradually fading with each passing hour.
💫 To Make the Most of This Week:
This is the week when eclipse season truly kicks in, leading to the Solar Eclipse on August 12. Eclipse energy is both energizing and destabilizing. You may have trouble sleeping. People around you might become edgy. If you're an empath, work with dark crystals, such as obsidian or black tourmaline, to feel more grounded.
The eclipse season is always a big event, but this week something else is happening — major soulmate energies are unfolding early in the week.
📍 Is the Solar Eclipse hitting your chart?
This week's eclipse will be most impactful for you personally if you have planets or Angles (Ascendant, Descendant, IC, or MC) in the following signs and degrees:
- 15–25° Leo or Aquarius
- 15–25° Taurus or Scorpio (to a lesser degree)
If your chart is activated, expect significant developments — often in the weeks before or after the eclipse dates.
It's a good year to book a reading.
Here is what to prioritize — and sidestep — in the week ahead:
- Pay attention to chance encounters on Monday and Tuesday. It just might be your soulmate. (Venus trines Pluto and Uranus).
- The Moon slips into three lengthy void-of-course periods this week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday to Friday. Don't initiate anything you want to grow and succeed. (dates and times below 👇🏼).
- If you're a risk-taker, do work with the energy of the Solar Eclipse on Wednesday! Ask the Universe for that soulmate relationship, or to help you get unstuck in other areas of your life.
-
Sunday is fantastic for romance, first dates and approaching potential romantic prospects (Venus sextile Jupiter).
💫 Key Astro-Events:
AUGUST 9, 10:37 a.m. to AUGUST 12, 10:37 a.m. PDT: Balsamic Moon
Balsamic Moon is inauspicious for new beginnings, and I wouldn't recommend any big bold starts so close to the eclipse anyway.
Best For:
✅ Tying up loose ends and finishing projects.
✅ Decluttering and cleaning.
✅ Leaving unstructured time for rest and regeneration.
Avoid:
⚠️ Overscheduling
⚠️ Starting anything new you want to grow and succeed.
AUGUST 10-11: Venus Trines Pluto and Uranus, and Opposes Neptune
Wow, Venus, the planet of love and money, is forming a powerful Kite configuration with the outer planets: there is a Grand Trine between Venus, Pluto and Uranus, and Neptune completes it into a Kite. And all of this is happening just prior to the eclipse.
If someone comes into your life early this week, it truly is a fated encounter. You very well may be looking at your soulmate. And, you could meet them on a dating app. Don't initiate — the Moon is Balsamic and we're too close to the eclipse. Be open to receiving.
Best For:
✅ Keeping an eye out for chance encounters. They may not be so chance after all!
✅ Releasing beliefs about love and money that are holding you back.
AUGUST 11: Mars Enters Cancer
The fiery red planet is not comfortable in the water element. Mars will stay in Cancer until September 27 — don't react when triggered emotionally. Consciously respond instead.
AUGUST 11: Mercury Opposite Pluto and Trine Neptune
What can I tell you — the planets are busy on August 11!
Best For:
✅ Deep spiritual work
✅ Creative writing
Avoid:
⚠️ Power struggles and power-hungry people.
AUGUST 12, 10:37 a.m. PDT: Solar Eclipse at 20° Leo
The Moon goes void of course at the time of the eclipse, so if you set intentions on the New Moon, wait until Aug. 13 3:18 a.m. PDT, when the void of course period ends.
Best For:
✅ Setting intentions for the areas of your life when you feel truly stuck - eclipses can get you unstuck fast, as long as you're prepared for a wild ride
✅ Asking the Universe to bring you a deep soulmate relationship.
AUGUST 13: Mercury Sextile Venus
Nice! This energy helps communication to flow easily and with grace.
Best For:
✅ Telling your loved ones how you feel about them - why save your appreciation for later? Today is as good a day as any! 😉
AUGUST 15: Mercury Conjunct Jupiter
Best For:
✅ Negotiations and presentations.
Just be aware that there may be surprises — we're only a couple of days past the eclipse.
AUGUST 16-17: Venus Sextile Jupiter; Mars Square Neptune
Ahhh it's a nice calmer stretch between two eclipses, and the planet of love and money, Venus, is about to make a lucky sextile to Jupiter!
Best For:
✅ First dates and approaching potential romantic prospects! A particularly auspicious stretch: Aug. 16 9:28 a.m. to Aug. 17 4:31 a.m. PDT. Make sure to convert to your time zone (Venus sextile Jupiter).
Avoid:
⚠️ Initiating any type of a "battle" - for example, legal proceedings. It will be difficult to see things clearly (Mars square Neptune)
⚠️ Strenuous exercise or sports. Your energy may be easily depleted (Mars square Neptune).
🕰️ Moon Void of Course
And here is a quick summary of the void-of-course times this week. Avoid starting anything new you want to succeed during these periods:
- August 10, 12:30 a.m. to August 11, 1:38 a.m. PDT — this is a long one. Pay attention!
- August 12, 10:37 a.m. to August 13, 3:18 a.m. PDT — another long one.
- August 13, 12:24 p.m. to August 15, 7:20 a.m. PDT — a VERY long void of course period.
