As always, this post is about the big picture of the month + I provide a quick synopsis of each week.  You can find my detailed weekly forecasts here, published every Thursday.

If you're a Sagittarius or Capricorn, it's time to book your Solar Return reading.! This insightful look into your 12-months ahead gets rave reviews. 

In November, we had spectacular, multiple Grand Trines in Water.  They carry over into the first week of December.  This time it's Mercury that forms a Grand Trine with Jupiter and Saturn, during a long, juicy Opportunity Period! Buying or selling a home, anyone? If you need to sign a contract or conduct a negotiation, especially around property matters, the first week of December ends with a very helpful stretch of astro-weather.  

December starts with the Sun, Venus and Mars all in Sagittarius.  That's a lot of upbeat, uplifting energy! Mercury joins the party on December 11.  The only thing is, the planets in Sagittarius will be butting heads (forming squares) with Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, through the last 3 weeks of December.  And that's where you see caution signs in the "Best Days for..." planner. 

These are not bad or difficult days! It just means that it's not the best dates for specific types of activities, because the outcome might not be what you hope. 

Saturn and Neptune Are Building to a Conjunction: 

Neptune turns direct on December 10.  Saturn and Neptune are now heading to their big destination of 2026 - a potent conjunction at 0° Aries, on February 20, 2026.  0° Aries - the Aries Point - is a hugely important area of the Zodiac, the "reset and restart" degree.  

Neptune and Saturn have stayed close together since the spring, so we're already feeling the energy, in the world affairs and in our personal lives.

On the global scene, the economic world order is being reset.  Free trade is out of the window. Tariffs are in.  Old alliances are broken.  Building of new economic partnerships is in progress.

This new reality is not set in stone just yet.  There is still a window of opportunity to reshape it.

The Saturn-Neptune conjunction has also been prominent when there were major events concerning Russia.  The Russian Revolution in 1917 happened under this conjunction, and ushered in the socialist state.  And the Berlin Wall came down under a Saturn-Neptune conjunction as well, in 1989. And with that came the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

And if the Saturn-Neptune conjunction connects with your natal chart?  

At its worst, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction can bring a majorly disillusioning moment.  Deceit and underhandedness can be at play, too 😞 Think of people abdicating responsibility, being ghosted, and feeling betrayed by those you trusted.  

But, as you push through the layers of disappointment, the reality of your life starts to come into focus again - and it's better and brighter than what seemed just a while ago. A new way of looking at life.  A new you.  A new path in your life. 

When it's at its best, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction is a huge manifestor aspect.  If it connects with your natal chart and you consciously work with its energy, you will have an amazing opportunity to bring your dreams (Neptune) into reality (Saturn).  It's a powerful combo!

OK, let's take a quick look at each week, to help you plan your month ahead. 

December 1-7:  the Best Week of December

The last Full Moon of 2025 is happening this week, on December 4 at 3:14 p.m. PST. Find some time to reflect on the blessings AND lessons of 2025, and then set your intentions  to release what you don't want to take with you into the new year.

And, the week ends with yet another spectacular Grand Trine in Water,  particularly helpful for contracts and negotiations. 

• The Moon spends 9 hours void of course on Monday, so if you're planning to start something you want to succeed, do it either before or after.  See "Moon Void of Course" in this post for dates/times.
  
  
• ♥️ Tuesday is a great day for having important relationship conversations, or maybe even popping the question!  Venus is sextile Pluto (helpful for a deep emotional bond) and the Moon is waxing in Taurus (great for a long, stable marriage). 
  
  
• 🌕 On Wednesday, the Moon in Gemini is restless and it can be difficult to get a good night's sleep.  Do some restorative yoga or take a bath with lavender bath salts before bedtime.  And,  the last Full Moon of 2025 is happening today!  

• 📃 ♥️ 💼The week ends with a stellar and very helpful Opportunity Period, lasting from Friday evening to Sunday.  If you have a contract to sign, electronics to buy, or something you need to negotiate, you couldn't find a better stretch of astro-weather.   This Opportunity Period is also supportive of relationship-building, love, and career matters.

To make the best of this week:

• ⚠️ Don't plan anything too ambitious for Monday - Mars and Saturn are butting heads today.  It's like driving with your breaks on.  Inauspicious for surgeries. 
  
  
• 🍎 If you're planning to start a diet or a cleanse, Wednesday and Thursday are the most supportive days this month (the Moon is waning in Virgo).
  
  
• 🎨 For artists and creative writers, Thursday brings a boost of inspiration.
  
  
• Saturday is amazing for a coaching session or cognitive therapy.  Deep breakthroughs are possible when Mercury and Pluto support one another. It's also a good day for researchers and investigators 🙂

December 15-21:  Plan Your Holiday Get-Togethers for Another Week

Mars moves from fun-loving Sagittarius into business-minded Capricorn on Monday, shifting the focus from socializing to work and career - which could be a good thing!  It would help you pay for all those Christmas presents. 

The Sun and Venus in Sagittarius don't get along with Saturn and Neptune though.  Feelings of loneliness can surface throughout the week.  Thankfully, the New Moon in Sagittarius is also this week - an excellent time to ask the Universe for joy if your life has been lackluster lately.

To make the best of this week:

• ⚠️Don't challenge your boss on Tuesday; you're unlikely to win.  The Sun and Saturn are butting heads.
  
  
• Do some decluttering on Wednesday or Thursday.  The Moon is Balsamic - inauspicious for new beginnings - but it's a great time to create more energetic space for fresh energies of the new year.
  
  
• 🌑 Friday evening (Pacific to Eastern time), ask the Universe for a boost of optimism, adventure and luck in your life on a New Moon in Sagittarius.  This New Moon squares Neptune and Saturn, so it can bring a reality check.  But still, it's a good New Moon to set your intentions for what you want to attract into your life. 
  
  
• ⚠️ Saturday is NOT a good day for a first date:  Venus is square Saturn, and that repressive energy might colour your relationship.   Don't overdo on festive martinis if you're going to a holiday party.  The Sun is square Neptune, which can increase sensitivity to drugs and alcohol (including prescription drugs). 
  
  
• Sunday hosts the winter solstice.  Happy Birthday to all of you Capricorns!

December 22-31:  Lovely Energies on Christmas and New Year's Eve

The final days of 2025 will be more upbeat, even though there may be a few momentary bumps in the road.  

• ⚠️ Monday and Tuesday are not the greatest for romance or big purchases.  Venus and Neptune form a square.  It can be difficult to stay realistic and see things clearly.
  
  
• 🎄 Christmas Day, on the other hand, brings lovely, peaceful and loving energies,  The Moon in Pisces makes positive aspects only through the day, opening the heart to love and joy.  How nice!
  
  
• ⚠️On Dec. 29-30, Mercury forms a square to Saturn.  NOT a good day for contracts and negotiations.  Critical people can come out of the woodwork.  Don't let them dampen your spirit. 
  
  
• 🎇 On New Year's Eve, the energies pick up quite a bit! The Moon is in social Gemini - how perfect for a lively, sparkly New Year's Eve.
