Astrology Forecast for February 2026

All dates are for Pacific to Eastern time.

We had a hopping January, with the planets making soooo many aspects, promising a busy and eventful month.  And it sure was.

Well, that was calm waters compared to the astrology of February!

We're heading into the eclipse season.  Saturn enters Aries.  The big event of 2026 - the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries - happens on February 20.

And as if that's not enough, Uranus turns direct and Mercury turns retrograde.

The Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Pluto all stay in Aquarius for the first week of February, highlighting the Aquarian themes of change, freedom, and human rights.

The energies soften a touch when Mercury, Venus and the Sun all follow each other into Pisces, between Feb. 6-18.  That's helpful for Valentine's Day!  And, if you're looking for a day when the planets are aligned just right for love and romance, go with Feb. 21-22:  the planet of love (and money!) - Venus - will be making a super-beneficial trine to Jupiter.

For the most part, the astrology of February is powerful, intense, charged and unpredictable.  We can expect much restlessness, chaotic developments and sudden turns.

Well, at least in our personal lives, we most certainly have free will!

Why are you seeing so many caution signs in this month's astro-planner?

They represent the eclipse season + Mercury Retrograde + a few challenging aspects the planets make throughout the month.

We are all affected by an eclipse to a degree. If you find yourself edgier than usual, and your decision-making not as reliable, it’s because eclipses pack a powerful punch of de-stabilizing energy.

In fact, common astrological wisdom is to avoid making major decisions the week before and after an eclipse. New information might come to light after, that would change the course you’re on.

With Mercury turning retrograde on February 25, this eclipse season packs a double whammy.

If you have important decisions to make, take advantage of the calmer astro-weather in the first 2 weeks of February, or save them until the end of March, when Mercury is out of retrograde.

As always, this post is about the big picture of the month + I provide a quick synopsis of each week. You can find my detailed weekly forecasts here, published every Thursday.

A Note for Aquarius:

If you're an Aquarius, it's time to book your Solar Return reading. With so many planets in your sign for the first 10 days of the month, one or two areas of your life may be emphasized in a big way.  Plus, the Solar Eclipse on February 17 is in Aquarius!

Your next 12 months can be eventful.  This reading will give you the astro-intel you need to make the most of your year ahead.

OK, back to February.  Let's talk about the big astro-happenings first:

Eclipse Season:

Eclipses are wild cards in astrology.  I've been tracking eclipses for a while, and I find that the sign they fall into and the aspects they make give us very accurate clues about new or unexpected developments the world is about to experience. After all, eclipses shake things up!

The nodal axis continues through Pisces-Virgo until July 27, 2026, and then moves to Aquarius-Leo.  And so this year, we'll have two eclipses continuing the Pisces-Virgo themes, but also two brand-new eclipses in Aquarius-Leo.

Here are the upcoming dates:

  • February 17, 4:01 a.m. PST:  Solar Eclipse in Aquarius
  • March 3, 3:38 a.m. PST:  Lunar Eclipse in Virgo.

So, where can we expect the shake-ups?

We're not out of the woods yet on the following issues:

  • (Un)employment and job market
  • Borders, including country borders
  • Shocks to systems, including "the system'
  • Healthcare
  • Drugs and alcohol
  • Oil and the oil industry

And wow, so much of this has played out already!  Layoffs of federal workers in the USA and now Canada.  Fentanyl trafficking becoming a hot and politicized issue.  Threats of the annexation of Greenland by the USA administration.  And oil - Venezuela!

You can read my full post on the Pisces-Virgo eclipses here

But, new areas are about to be shaken up by the Aquarius-Leo eclipses:

  • events affecting governments, kings, presidents, and political parties
  • human rights (this one is already playing out 😕)
  • large shifts in the cultural morality and mindset
  • scientific discoveries
  • athletes, entertainment personalities and such can enter the spotlight or fall
  • parks, vacations, luxury goods and pleasure industries
  • price of gold can experience swings
  • stock market can experience swings
  • electricity
  • lightning and wind storms

Eclipse on February 17 is particularly impactful for the USA.  Join me for my upcoming webinar,  Eclipses for the Savvy Seeker, to learn how to decode the impacts of eclipses on your country and your own personal chart.

Now, for the manifestor, eclipses pack a powerful punch.  If you set intentions on an New Moon that is also a Solar Eclipse (Feb. 17), what you desire can come to you fast, but there can be some big twists and turns along the way.   Set your intentions on an eclipse only if you're comfortable with risk.

Saturn-Neptune Conjunction

That's one of the biggest astro-events of 2026.  Saturn re-enters Aries on February 13, and forms a spectacular, epochal conjunction with Neptune on Feb. 20.

Historically, this conjunction has been active during some watershed moments, such as the Russian Revolution of 1917, the annexation of the Virgin Islands by the USA (for strategic purposes during World War I - sound familiar?),  the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the USA annexation of Texas and New Mexico.

Plus, the last time Neptune crossed the IC (the 4th House Cusp) in the chart of the USA, as it's doing now, was 1861 - the year of the Civil War.  Some other astrological markers of 1861 are repeating this year as well:  Uranus will be entering Gemini and Jupiter will be entering Leo later this year, and Mars will be forming a conjunction with Uranus.

This is not to say that history will repeat itself, but it often rhymes... Needless to say, we're living through some very, very big planetary shifts.

Uranus Turns Direct

There is another energy at play, too. Uranus is stationed at 27° Taurus for the entire month. It turns direct on Feb. 3.  And when Uranus is stationed, getting ready to change direction, the energy of innovation and liberating change is high in the skies.

If you have personal planets or angles between 25-30° Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Aquarius, Leo or Scorpio, chances are, you're feeling this energy.

February could be the month when things can get "unstuck" for you, and you may be welcoming change into your life (or resisting, depending on your natal chart!)

Mercury Goes Retrograde

Mercury enters its Storm on February 22, and goes retrograde on February 25.  The days right before Mercury changes direction is the "caution zone" when Mercury-Rx related mishaps are more likely to happen.

Mercury retrograde in Pisces gets a bad reputation because it blurs boundaries, dissolves logic, and makes linear thinking feel like trying to write on water.

But that’s exactly why it’s so valuable — it opens doors that aren’t accessible when Mercury is sharp, fast, and rational.

Pisces dissolves the mental noise that normally drowns out intuition.  It's a fantastic time to receive spiritual downloads through journaling, meditation - or booking a Tarot reading!

OK, let's take a quick look at each week, to help you plan your month ahead.

    February 1-8:

To make the most of this week:

    •  🌕 The Full Moon on February 1 at 2:09 p.m. PST is an excellent time to release any blocks to romance (Valentine's Day will be here before we know it).

You don't have to set your alarm for 2:09 p.m. either! The intention-setting window will stay open for 24 hours, until the Moon moves into Virgo.

    • Speaking about the Moon in Virgo - Tuesday Feb. 3 and Wednesday Feb. 4 are two excellent days to start a diet or a cleanse.

    • Avoid important meetings or sensitive conversations on Wednesday Feb. 4 and Thursday Feb. 5.  Mercury is getting ready to square Uranus.  Communication can be erratic and lead to unexpected results.

    • Friday Feb. 6 brings a stellar Opportunity Period for networking, building rapport, or going on that first date.  Mark it on your calendar:  February 6 9:21 a.m. to February 7 3:59 a.m. PST.

    • The weekend is not the best for a first date or big financial investments.  Venus squares Uranus.  If your partner seems moody, give them some space.

    February 9-15:

Venus enters romantic Pisces, Saturn re-enters Aries, and powerful but erratic eclipse energy starts coming in on the weekend - the New Moon on Feb. 17 is also a powerful Solar Eclipse!

To make the most of this week:

    • If you want to go for an early Valentine dinner, Tuesday Feb. 10 is a great choice:  Venus enters romantic Pisces.

    • The weekend is a powerful time for deep decluttering.  Mental and emotional clutter counts, too! The Moon is Balsamic, inauspicious for new beginnings.  The Sun squares Uranus, so people around you - or you, yourself! - could be more stubborn than usual.

    February 16-22:

This week brings some of the biggest astro-fireworks of 2026: a Solar Eclipse in Aquarius, and the epochal Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries.

In other news, the Sun enters Pisces - Happy Birthday to my Pisces readers! 🎉🎂♓

To make the most of this week:

    • Set intentions for what you want to attract into your life on the Solar Eclipse on Tuesday Feb. 17 - but only if you're a risk-taker at heart!  What you ask for can come fast, but it can happen in an unexpected way, and with some "side effects".  Believe me, I'm speaking from experience...😆

If you decide to set your intentions, wait until 6:09 a.m. - the Moon is Void of Course until then.

    • On Wednesday Feb. 18, the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus are all in Pisces. It's an amazing day to hone in your intuition, work on your art, or book a Tarot reading!
    • The weekend gives you just enough of a break between the two eclipses (the next one is coming March 3).  Venus is trine Jupiter, making the weekend a great time for love and money.

    February 23- 28:

Mercury enters its Storm on Feb. 22, and turns retrograde on February 25, at 22° Pisces. We're entering 3+ weeks of mental fog, but on the plus side, intuition can be heightened.

    • The Moon is in restless Gemini on Tuesday Feb. 24. The mind can be overactive, and it can be difficult to get a good night's sleep.  Turn off your electronic devices at least 2 hours before your bedtime.  Do some restorative yoga or take a relaxing bath with lavender.

    • If you need to mend some bridges or to reach out to an ex, Friday Feb. 27  is an excellent day.  Mercury Retrograde conjoins Venus, and the stars align into an Opportunity Period!

So there you have it! Have an energizing February.

This is a powerful time for transformation, and I'm here to support you through these cosmic shifts.
