Minor Grand Trines 2025–2028: Rare Planetary Alignments and What They Mean for You

If 2020 shook the world to its core, 2025–2026 may be just as significant — but for a very different reason.

The world is still in the middle of a painful realignment: the world order is changing. International alliances that held strong for nearly a century are collapsing. Tensions are escalating.

But the planetary alignments forming right now carry enormous promise — a convergence of outer planets into two powerful, supportive formations called Minor Grand Trines, patterns that astrologers associate with breakthrough, innovation, and positive turning points.

And one of the most respected mundane astrologers of the 20th century predicted that 2026 would be one of the highest points of the entire century. More on that below.

In this post, I'll walk you through both Minor Grand Trines forming in 2025–2027, what they mean for the world collectively, and — most importantly — how to find out if they're activating your natal chart personally.

Two planetary aspects of 2025-2026 warrant enough attention on their own. The Saturn-Neptune conjunction brought notable geopolitical shifts.  Throughout history, it's been particularly impactful for the USA and Russia. 

And the rare Uranus-Pluto trine is a unique alignment we haven't experienced since 1922-1923. 

But, there is more!   Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter all support each other at different points through 2025 and 2026.

Minor Triangle #1 - June 2025-June 2027


The first Minor Triangle involves two sextiles, between:

(1) Pluto and Neptune, and

(2) Neptune and Uranus. 

Pluto and Uranus will also be aligned in a trine.

Saturn will join this Minor Triangle from late 2025 and until March 2026.  

I've highlighted them in green in the astro-chart of the skies, current as of the writing of this post.

Aspects between the outer planets are quite important because they mark generational milestones and influence as as the collective.  

We've felt the energy of Neptune, Saturn and Uranus all changing signs for the past few months, feeling like the world is on a brink of moving in a brand-new direction.  But, it's the aspects between the planets that really start moving things along.

Sextiles ARE aspects of opportunity, after all, and here innovation and change (Pluto and Uranus) meets a sprinkling of magic from the Universe (Neptune), and Saturn can bring all that promise into reality.

We can expect more technological advances, some of which may affect the way we communicate, including changes to social media platforms and to mobile devices. 

There may be rapid changes and advances in the travel industry, or break-throughs related to transportation and vehicles.

New world leaders and political parties can come to power, too.  In 2023, I wrote a blog about Pluto in Aquarius moving technology leaders into the limelight and to power.  Interestingly, earlier this year  (2025) we had DOGE and Elon Musk gathering significant political prominence, before things changed again.  That's the thing about Pluto.  It can bring reversals. 

Deglobalization can intensify, and the established world order can start changing - and we're already experiencing it now. 

What an Astrologer Who Predicted 2020 Said About 2026

Earlier this year, I inhaled a fascinating book by a French astrologer, André Barbault: "Planetary Cycles". He foresaw, with amazing accuracy, a number of important world events, such as the collapse of the Soviet Union and reunification of Germany.

Most astonishingly, he predicted that 2020-2021 were going to be two extremely challenging years for the planet (he passed away in 2019, before we knew about COVID).

According to André Barbault, 2026 is supposed to be one of the highest points of the 21st century, that brings a major turning point, but one that is beneficial for the planet.

Minor Triangle #1 Will Peak Three Times

The first peak is unfolding now!   In August-September 2025, the Minor Triangle (two sextiles + a trine) is happening at 1° Aquarius (Pluto), 0-1° Aries (Saturn and Neptune) and 1° Gemini. 
It will peak two more times:
  • at 4° of the same signs:  July 7-31st, 2026
  • at 6° of the same signs:  June 5-17th, 2027

What Does It Mean On a Personal Level?

While there is all this potential winking at us from the skies, this amazing planetary alignment will be relevant to you personally in 2025-2027 if you have planets or Angles (Ascendant, Descendant, MC and IC) between 0-8° of the following signs:

  • Aquarius
  • Aries
  • Gemini
  • Leo
  • Libra
  • Sagittarius.

Each of these signs will be affected slightly differently, but one thing for sure - the energies of 2025-2027 are incredibly impactful and can bring major breakthroughs and life changes if they connect with your natal chart.

Minor Triangle #2 - July 2026

The second Minor Triangle is shorter-lived but arguably the most concentrated burst of positive energy in this entire cycle — active through July 2026 only. It brings Jupiter into the picture, adding expansion and good vibes to the mix.

This time, the sextiles will be between:

(1) Jupiter and Uranus, and

(2) Uranus and Neptune.

There will also be two trines, between:

(1) Uranus and Pluto — this trine stays active until 2028, but the degrees will change slightly

(2) Jupiter and Neptune — this trine will last through July and into early August 2026.

Perhaps the promise of the 2025–2026 planetary alignments reaches its apex in July 2026. 🙏🏼🌟

On a collective level, pharmaceuticals, medical advances, the oil industry, and technology could all be in the spotlight. Expect breakthroughs — and possibly some surprising reversals — in these sectors.

What Does It Mean On a Personal Level?

The same signs and degrees that are activated by Triangle #1 are activated here too — so if you have planets or Angles between 0–8° of Aquarius, Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, or Sagittarius, July 2026 is an especially powerful moment for you.

With Jupiter now in the mix, this triangle carries a particular flavour of expansion and opportunity — the kind that can open doors you didn't even know existed. But like all sextiles, it requires you to meet the energy halfway. The window is short, so the time to act is now.

The planetary alignments of 2025–2027 are genuinely rare. Two Minor Grand Trines. A Uranus-Pluto trine not seen since 1922. A Saturn-Neptune conjunction reshaping geopolitics. And a respected astrologer who predicted 2020 calling 2026 one of the highest points of the century.
