I'm a mystic - but there is also a much stronger, pragmatic side to me. That's the side that asks, "How is it that working with the Lunar cycle works? That setting intentions on a New Moon works?" 

Some of it is about astrological timing.  And yes, there truly is a sprinkling of magic that the Universe sends your way when you start working with the Moon energies. But a big part of magic is YOU!  

And you know what? IT development, project management, HR and the Lunar Cycle have more in common than you think...

May is an unsettled month astrologically.  Exuberant Fire energy returns, with Venus, Jupiter and Mars all entering Aries in May.  Jupiter's entry into Aries, in particular, is a big shift. But considering Mercury Retrograde and the eclipses, that could result in some over-commitment, unfulfilled promises, and unsafe risk-taking. Save major decisions until the second week of June.

On the plus side, even with Mercury Retrograde, May brings a lot of good planetary alignments for finances, business or career, especially during the first week of May.

The Lunar Eclipse on Nov. 19 2021 kicked off a new eclipse cycle that will last into 2023.  With eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio, "shake-ups" of the financial sector, Mother Earth, agriculture and resources are all possible. As is deep, regenerative emotional healing.

The first 3 weeks of April have a lot of forward momentum. The New Moon on April 1 has some fantastic energies to improve self-confidence, courage, and the ability to take charge of your life.  One of the main astrological evens of 2022 - the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction - arrives on April 12. Things will start tensing up by the end of the month though, when the eclipse season arrives.

The upcoming Jupiter-Neptune conjunction on April 12 is a big deal! The planetary superpowers are meeting in their own sign, Pisces: the realm of blessings, healing, spirituality, compassion and abundance. The last time they met in Pisces was 1856...

 

March is quite complex astrologically, with a lot in play.  It brings some of the nicest energies this year, magical even.  But there are a couple of astro-warnings signs as well. Whatever you do, don't miss the New Moon on March 2! It's THE "make-a-wish" New Moon of the year. 

Oh my goodness! February is a very special month. Mercury turns direct on Feb. 3.  All the planets will be direct until Apr. 29 - a big green light for new beginnings. AND!!!! We're heading into an extended Venus-Mars conjunction. Our passion levels skyrocket. Yes, it's about romantic passion - but also, zest for life.

Mercury Retrograde can bring annoying technology glitches, delayed or cancelled travel plans and appointments, and  frustrating miscommunication.  And….it also has a huge silver lining. It’s the best time of the year for all things “re”: re-do, re-plan, re-write (or edit), re-connect, repair, reflect.  

This Mercury Retrograde straddles Aquarius and Capricorn, echoing the theme of the Uranus-Saturn squares that dominated the astrology of 2021 (and that we will still feel in 2022).  Reflect on your relationship with stability and change, say Aquarius and Capricorn.

January is preparing us for a very nice energy shift.  Some of the 2021 energies are clearing (even though it will take some time), and much lighter, hopeful and compassionate energies are coming in. With Mercury and Venus both retrograde, it's a good month to reflect and readjust.  But there is also a lot of Uranus energy - what needs to change in your life? 

Jupiter moves back into Pisces on Dec. 28 2021! This is big. When Jupiter changes signs, opportunities for expansion and luck shift. Where to? Look at the House (=area of life) Jupiter is going through in your natal chart.

Jupiter in Pisces brings healing and a renewed emphasis on spirituality. It's also great news for all the artists out there! But, it can also bring inflation and a "redistribution of wealth".

Some of the major astrological themes of the year are quite different from what we experienced in 2020/2021 (phew!). While there are still some bumpy stretches, there are also a number of truly magical planetary alignments in store for us this year...

Well, 2021 is going out with a bang. I know we're all looking for a relaxed, happy holiday season, but... December is quite intense. The last eclipse along the Gemini-Sagittarius axis, Venus going retrograde, and the Saturn-Uranus square peaking for the final time this year.  Some powerful energies to ride!
