Astrology Forecast for June 2026
All dates and times provided are for Pacific to Eastern time.
Overview of June
June starts on a calm note, but behind the scenes, several powerful transits are building.
Earlier this year, the planets were travelling close together, forming powerful stelliums in different signs. But they are spread out and nicely balanced in June:
- Mercury: Gemini => Cancer (June 1)
- Venus: Cancer => Leo (June 13)
- Sun: Gemini => Cancer (June 21)
- Mars: Taurus => Gemini (June 28)
- Jupiter: Cancer => Leo (June 29).
The best energies of June come in the first 10 days of the month. There are several fantastic dates for love and romance, and a few excellent dates for spiritual or artistic pursuits. See the calendar for June 👆🏼
After, the energies become more tense: Uranus squares the Lunar Nodes, and Mercury turns retrograde.
Jupiter enters Leo on June 29, marking the final major sign change of the year - we've run out of planets!
Let's look at the bigger energies of June first.
Uranus Squares Lunar Nodes
Ok, back to the tension I mentioned earlier. It's already starting to build - Uranus is getting ready to square the Lunar Nodes on June 12.
In world affairs, the Nodes represent the evolution of collective consciousness: where we've come from (the South Node) and what we are attempting to evolve toward (the North Node).
A square from Uranus shakes up both nodes at once - it's a "crossroads" energy - collectively, we can fall back to a comfortable and familiar path, or we can be forcibly (square) jolted onto a new path.
Aspects to the nodes have a karmic, fated quality - whatever is meant to happen, will.
There is a good chance of global events moving quickly and unpredictably in mid-June to early July, when Mars conjoins Uranus on July 3.
We could see sudden developments around technology and AI, air travel, cyber-security, markets, or geopolitical tensions, with decisions made under pressure and little warning.
But, it's not random chaos - it's a tipping point: systems that have been building strain for years may reach a breaking point, forcing rapid adaptation and exposing what is no longer sustainable.
Expect intensified debates around information, power, and control, and potential breakthroughs that push society further into a new technological era.
Personal Impacts: If the Mars-Uranus conjunction at 3° Gemini squares the Lunar Nodes in your natal chart, the energy will be impactful for you personally. You could find yourself at a crossroads that brings immense potential: you can free yourself from the past and make a decisive move to create the life you want.
Mercury Turns Retrograde
Mercury enters its Storm on June 21, getting ready to turn retrograde on June 29.
Mercury Retrograde is an inauspicious time for contracts, negotiations, and buying vehicles or expensive electronic devices. If you're planning to list your home, make an offer, or negotiate a contract at work, plan around the Mercury Retrograde window: June 29–July 23.
In everyday matters — communication glitches, technology hiccups — we may start feeling Mercury Retrograde effects as early as June 21, when it enters its Storm (slowing down as it gets ready to turn retrograde).
Further out, we're heading into Eclipse Season as of August 5, so August and September will have some blackout periods when major decisions are not recommended, as well.
Mercury will move through 26-16° Cancer while in retrograde.
Jupiter Enters Leo
When Jupiter changes signs, opportunities and expansion shift to another area - globally and in your personal life.
Jupiter in Leo can:
- Increase demand for (or supply of) gold — with Jupiter opposing Pluto in July, expect volatility around that time.
- Increase demand for (or supply of) high-end or luxury goods.
- Flashy, attention-grabbing projects may attract investment, even when the fundamentals are shaky.
- Government spending may increase.
- There may be more big-ticket entertainment events and rising stars who become the next big name.
Jupiter's biggest show this year will happen in July and August 2026 - it will make a trine to Saturn and Neptune in Aries, a sextile to Uranus, and an opposition to Pluto!
I'll write a dedicated blog post on it in a couple of weeks - stay tuned!
(If you want a full overview of what to expect in the remaining months of 2026, including the major transits YOU should pay attention to, and how to work with them, my recorded webinar "Navigating 2026" is now on sale).
As always, this post is about the big picture of the month + I provide a quick synopsis of each week. You can find my detailed weekly forecasts here, published every Thursday.
OK, let's take a quick look at each week, to help you plan your month ahead.
June 1-7:
The detailed close-up for this week has been published. You can find it here.
June 8-14:
The highlight of the entire month arrives this week: Venus and Jupiter come together in a spectacular conjunction on June 9. It's an excellent day for romantic and financial matters.
But, June 9-10 are not the best for important communication events and presentations. Mercury squares Saturn - critics can come out, and your audience might tend to see things as "glass half empty". In personal relationships, ease off on constructive feedback - it could be misconstrued as criticism.
The Moon turns Balsamic on June 11 at 7:54 a.m. PDT. The next 72 hours are inauspicious for new beginnings, but it's a great time to finish up projects, tie up loose ends, and - my favourite - do some digital or physical decluttering. Clear out stagnant energy in preparation for the New Moon on June 14.
If you work with the Lunar Cycle - and if you don't, you really need to give it a try! - this New Moon is an excellent time to set intentions for:
- improved communication or writing with ease
- improved relationship with siblings or neighbours
- increased social circle
- reduced stress when driving.
Wait until the morning of June 15 to set your intentions, because the Moon will be void of course until June 15, 5:14 a.m. PDT.
June 15-21:
Yet another excellent window for love and romance arrives on Monday and Tuesday: Venus sextiles Uranus and trines Neptune. Monday is a particularly great day to look for love online.
But, things quickly change on Wednesday: Venus opposes Pluto. Not the best day for a first date, as your new relationship may be imbued with the energy of power struggles.
Saturday is an excellent day to make a health-oriented change to your routines, with the Moon in Virgo free of any major aspects. Commit to walking more. Start on a daily multivitamin. Reduce your sodium intake. One small change is all you need to get things going. Your body will thank you in the end.
The Sun enters Cancer on June 21. Happy Birthday to all Cancerians out there! ♋🎁🎉
And Happy Father's Day to all Dads - it falls on June 21 in North America this year.
June 22-30:
Mercury is now in its Storm - moving very slowly in the skies - getting ready to turn retrograde on June 29. Most Mercury Rx-related mishaps tend to happen in the days before and after it changes direction, so be particularly cautious June 26-July 2.
Proofread all important communication, and if you absolutely must sign a contract or a legal document, read the fine print. But, hopefully you're subscribed to my newsletter, so you can receive all my astro-planning notes early!
June 25 can be a low energy day - the Sun squares Neptune. Sensitivity to alcohol and drugs (including prescription drugs) can increase. This is a good day to rest, hydrate, and avoid big decisions.
June 29 is an action-packed day! A Full Moon in Capricorn lights up the sky, Mercury turns retrograde, and Jupiter enters Leo.
June ends with a bang — and July picks up right where it left off.
