Wow, what a month! Saturn and Neptune come together in an epochal conjunction at 0° Aries, the Solar Eclipse in Aquarius signals new areas about to be shaken up, and Mercury turns retrograde. 

Eclipses are wild cards in astrology — they electrify whatever they touch. We feel that on the collective level and on a personal level, especially if an eclipse activates your natal chart.

In 2026, the nodal axis shifts into Aquarius–Leo, with the first Aquarius eclipse arriving on February 17.

So… what can we expect?

Uranus turns direct, Mercury enters Pisces, and a lovely Opportunity Period arrives this week. From the best day of the week for your first date to the day you need to give your partner some space, this forecast will have you get ready for the week ahead. 

The first major astrological shift of the year happens this week:  Neptune re-enters Aries.  Neptune makes everything it touches seem more glamorous.  And in Aries, it's glamorizing initiative and assertiveness - but, when unchecked, this can lead to aggression and "me first, everyone else be damned".  

So make 2026 about personal agency that brings a win-win, not a win-lose! 

I love that astrology keeps us connected with the cosmic energy cycles. There is a time to plan your goals for the year and to engage with your ambitions for your life - Capricorn Season. And then, innovative, "marching to your own drummer" energies of Aquarius Season set in, asking us to consider our unique gifts and strengths that we can draw on in life.

This week, the Sun, Mercury and Mars all move into Aquarius. Happy Birthday to my Aquarius readers! ♒💖 As the planets enter Aquarius, they make conjunctions with Pluto - all early in the week. It's a very powerful energy, helpful for setting boundaries or projecting a powerful presence.  

The 4th House is often described as our roots, our home, and our private inner world.  But there is a deeper, more poetic and yet pragmatic layer that is often overlooked:  the 4th House also reveals what our older age will feel like. 

This is a powerhouse of a New Moon.  There are 6 (six!) planets all very close together, in Capricorn and Aquarius, forming a very impactful stellium.   

For the manifestor, this New Moon - supported by the Saturn/Neptune conjunction - packs a super-powerful punch.  It's manifestation power is 10 out of 10.  Neptune is about dreams, and Saturn is about bringing your dreams into the physical realm. 

Well, 2026 has sure started with a geopolitical bang: military action by the USA in Venezuela.  First, I was struck by the uncanny astro-parallels with the astrology of the USA's military operation in Panama, in 1989.  And, the next thing that became very clear was, it's not about Venezuela.  And it's not even about the USA.  We've entered a period of a very significant geopolitical shift.
