Astrology Forecast for August 3-9, 2026
Note: Dates and times in this forecast are given in Pacific Time (PDT). If you're in a different time zone, please adjust accordingly — for some time zones, this may mean a different day entirely.
Unless I provide a specific timeframe, we'll feel the energies 24–72 hours before the date I mention (the date when the planetary alignment is exact).
They'll gain strength as they approach, and linger for 24–48 hours after, gradually fading with each passing hour.
💫 To Make the Most of This Week:
This week, Chiron turns retrograde, while Venus and Mercury both change signs.
The eclipse season officially kicks off on August 5, leading to the Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 12. The energies will start getting progressively erratic as the week unfolds, so if you need to get something off the ground, do it on Monday.
After, use the week to tie up loose ends and to work on inner healing if you need to.
Here is what to prioritize — and sidestep — in the week ahead:
-
Charge ahead with your plans on Monday. (The Moon in Aries forms a fiery trine with the Sun and Jupiter).
- Pay attention to a lengthy Moon void-of-course on Tuesday. Don't initiate anything you want to grow and succeed. (dates and times below 👇🏼).
-
Double up on work projects on Thursday. Chances are, you'll get a lot done. (Sun trine Saturn).
- Keep an eye out for romantic prospects or schedule that first date for Friday. It just might be your soulmate! (The Moon, Venus and Pluto form a Grand Trine in Air. It's a little too close to the eclipse, but if I were still single, I'd take my chances 😉).
- On Saturday, spend some time connecting with friends. (Moon in Gemini)
- Sunday is best for recharging or - if you can't sit still - decluttering. (Balsamic Moon).
💫 Key Astro-Events:
Here's the full scoop:
AUGUST 3: Chiron Turns Retrograde
As Chiron stations retrograde, healing becomes an inward journey, asking us to gently examine the stories that have shaped our sense of worth, security, and belonging.
(Note Chiron's stay in Taurus is brief in 2026 - it will retrograde into Aries on September 17).
Best For:
✅ Reflecting on your relationship with self-worth, security, and abundance.
✅ Healing old money stories or scarcity mindsets.
✅ Reconnecting with what truly makes you feel safe and grounded.
✅ Slowing down and listening to your body's wisdom.
✅ Releasing the need to prove your value through productivity or possessions.
Avoid:
⚠️ Seeking external validation to measure your worth. The deepest healing now comes from within, rather than looking outside yourself for reassurance or security.
AUGUST 6: Venus Enters Libra; Sun Trines Saturn
Venus is strong in her own sign, Libra. Use this transit to cultivate a healthy balance between assertiveness and collaboration, and to build and nurture personal and professional relationships.
Venus will stay in Libra until September 10.
As far as the Sun-Saturn trine, it's best for:
✅ Career and business matters.
AUGUST 7: Moon in Gemini Makes Many Aspects
If you find yourself bouncing between ten browser tabs today, blame the Gemini Moon! It can be very restless. It's great for networking and socializing, but it can be difficult to shut off the brain and get a good night's sleep.
But! A beautiful thing - the Moon, Venus and Pluto form a Grand Trine in Air today, and Venus is getting ready to trine Uranus, too. Long story short - fated romantic encounters are possible now. And, they could happen on a dating app. Just keep in mind that eclipses are just around the corner, so there may be some twists and turns.
Best For:
✅ Networking - especially on August 7.
✅ Social get-togethers
✅ Exercising your brain - think crosswords, puzzles and such
✅ Searching for love or reconnecting with a loved one.
Avoid:
⚠️ Spending too much time on your electronic devices. This Moon can overstimulate your brain or your nervous system.
AUGUST 9: Mercury Enters Leo
Let your personality shine through everything you say and write! Be generous with praise and acknowledgement, and don't forget to toot your own horn a little 😉
Just remember there's a fine line between confidence and accidentally turning every conversation into your own TED Talk.
Mercury will stay in Leo until August 25.
AUGUST 9, 10:37 a.m. to AUGUST 12, 10:37 a.m. PDT: Balsamic Moon
Balsamic Moon is inauspicious for new beginnings, and I wouldn't recommend any big bold starts so close to the eclipse anyway.
Best For:
✅ Tying up loose ends and finishing projects.
✅ Decluttering and cleaning.
✅ Leaving unstructured time in your schedule for mental and physical regeneration.
Avoid:
⚠️ Overscheduling
⚠️ Starting anything new you want to grow and succeed.
🕰️ Moon Void of Course
And here is a quick summary of the void-of-course times this week. Avoid starting anything new you want to succeed during these periods:
- August 4, 11:52 a.m. to 7:35 p.m. PDT — this is a long one. Pay attention!
- August 6, 4:25 p.m. to 11:08 p.m. PDT — another long one.
- August 8, 10:27 p.m. to August 9, 12:46 a.m. PDT.
