Astrology Forecast for July 14-20, 2025

Note:  the dates in this forecast are for Pacific to Eastern time.  

Unless I provide a specific timeframe, we’ll feel the energies 24-72 hours in advance of the date I mention (the date when the planetary alignment is exact).  They will be gaining in strength as they approach the date.  We will also feel them for 24-48 hours after, but they will be losing strength with each passing hour.

The early part of the week is great for spiritual and artistic pursuits, with the Moon in Pisces making several positive connections. 

And then, Mercury turns retrograde on July 17/July 18, depending on your time zone. Here are some tips on how to make the most of this retrograde, happening in glamorous Leo:

• You may want to put off any elective cosmetic procedures or drastic changes to your hair, especially if they are expensive and could be difficult to reverse if you're not happy with the outcome. 
  
  
• If you need to travel during Mercury Retrograde, your best bet is to travel to a familiar destination. Mercury retrograde trips can be perfectly fine - just do things you've done before. 
  
  
• Old exes might resurface (another Leo theme).  Wait until the retrograde is over before fully letting them back into your life - just to make sure they are not going to disappear again! 
  
  
• Miscommunications can happen because we're too busy thinking what we're going to say - and how to make ourselves look good 😉 -  instead of listening to the other person.  I'm allowed to say these things because I'm a Leo!  As they say, listen to understand, not to respond.
  
  
• But as always, Mercury Retrograde is an excellent time for all things "re": re-plan, revise, reflect.   And, for the retrograde in Leo, you may also want to revive an old hobby or a creative project! 

You may already be experiencing annoying technology glitches, scheduling mishaps and other Mercury Rx-mishaps, because they can start pre-retrograde. 

But, Mercury Retrograde is also an inauspicious time to sign agreements and legal documents - which includes putting your house up for sale, for example.

If that's you, take advantage of the Opportunity Period, starting July 14 at 9:16 p.m. PDT and lasting until July 15, 10:10 a.m. PDT.  That's what I'm doing!  Otherwise, sit out July 17-Aug. 11.

The Moon is now waning, and Mercury turns retrograde this week.  Review the intention(s) you set on the New Moon, and do a "retrospective":  is there anything YOU need to start doing, stop doing or keep doing, for your intention to manifest?

And lean into the healing energy of the Moon in Pisces early in the week.  Affirm:  "I trust that the Universe is aligning all the pieces I need, behind the scenes".
