Astrology Forecast for October 6-12, 2025

Looking for a perfect gift for that special Libra? How about a beautiful journal? Check out my Gift Guide for Libra for some ideas.

Note:  the dates in this forecast are for Pacific to Eastern time.

Unless I provide a specific timeframe, we’ll feel the energies 24-72 hours in advance of the date I mention (the date when the planetary alignment is exact).  They will be gaining in strength as they approach the date.  We will also feel them for 24-48 hours after, but they will be losing strength with each passing hour.

This Week: Executive Summary 🙂

Mercury visits Scorpio from October 6 to October 29, sharpening our minds and tongues. This is a great time for research, deep conversations, and uncovering hidden truths.

This week also brings relationships into focus.  The week opens with a bold and fiery Full Moon in Aries, and then Venus goes on to flirt with Jupiter (yay!) before she is confronted by stern Saturn (a mixed bag).

Emotions can run high on the Full Moon, and following on her heels,  Mercury butts heads with Pluto (yikes).  Tongues might turn just a little tooooo sharp, and minor arguments can turn into bitter fights.

If you are planning a sensitive conversation, save it until mid-week.   Mercury-Pluto aspects add intensity to communication.  Minor arguments can turn into bitter fights.

To get the most of this week's energies:

  • Use the Full Moon to reflect on your personal boundaries and desires.  Are you honoring your own needs in relationships? Or have you been over-giving or over-compromising? Release relationship patterns that stifle your autonomy.

  • Avoid negotiations or sensitive conversations early in the week.  Wait until Thursday.

  • If you're getting ready for a first date with that special someone, schedule it for Wednesday or Thursday, and avoid the weekend.

If You're Working with the Lunar Cycle for Manifestation...

The Full Moon this week is the time to celebrate your successes and progress.  Give thanks and gratitude - and then release what no longer serves you.

Considering the upcoming Full Moon, on October 6, is in fiery and independent Aries, here is a gratitude prompt for you: I'm grateful for my relationship with _____  even thought it was challenging at times, because it taught me the importance of setting healthy boundaries.

And here are a couple of affirmations:

1 - "I courageously take charge of my life".

2 -  My life is a healthy balance of giving and receiving".

Yes, I teach a course on working with astrology for manifestation, too.  You can find it here.

The course is now fully digital, and tied to the Lunar Cycle for maximum results.  It's practical and hands-on, intended to help you make progress on your goals within 30 days.

The next recommended start date is October 18!

And here are the main astro-happenings of this week:

🌕 October 6, 8:48 p.m. PDT: Full Moon in Aries  + Mercury Enters Scorpio

This Full Moon highlights the tension between self and other. You may feel a surge of independence or a need to assert yourself. Use this energy to clarify your desires—but avoid impulsive decisions. Aries is bold, but the best moves are intentional.

Best for:

  • Personal breakthroughs
  • Courageous decisions
  • Releasing relationship patterns that stifle your autonomy, impatience, non-constructive anger and frustration, and tendency to rush.

Avoid:

  • Impulsive confrontations or emotionally charged conversations
  • Starting new partnerships (the energy is too self-focused)

✨ October 7: Mercury square Pluto

Be mindful of manipulation or obsessive thinking. This is a good time to research, investigate, or have a heart-to-heart—just keep it respectful. Secrets may surface.  Words can be cutting today, and emotions are still running high, following the Full Moon.  Choose kindness.

Best for:

  • Deep research
  • Strategic planning

Avoid:

  • Negotiations or persuasive pitches (can come off too intense)

✨ October 8: Venus sextile Jupiter

Ah! How nice!  This is one of the most feel-good aspects in astrology.

Best for:

  • Creative projects
  • Socializing and networking
  • Launches, especially in beauty, wellness, or heart-centered businesses - note there is an Opportunity Period coming up, too!

Avoid:

  • Overindulgence or overspending (it’s a feel-good transit, but not always practical)

🪄♥️💵 October 8, 4:16 p.m. to October 9, 5:31 p.m. PDT:  Opportunity Period!

Opportunity Periods are those magic windows when the Moon makes positive aspects only, before she leaves the sign she is in.   They greatly aid specific undertakings.

And this one is great for love, finances, cosmetic procedures, and launching beauty or wellness products.

✨ October 11: Venus opposite Saturn

This energy can be sobering. It’s excellent for pruning and planning, but not for initiating anything that needs warmth or enthusiasm to succeed.

Best for:

  • Reviewing financial commitments
  • Clarifying relationship boundaries
  • Editing or refining creative work

Avoid:

  • First dates or romantic proposals (the vibe is cool and cautious).  One exception: if there is a big age difference between you two, this energy will work in your favour.
  • Launching anything that relies on emotional appeal

Moon Void of Course:

Avoid starting anything new that you want to succeed, during these timeframes:

  • October 7, 11:24 a.m. to 10:12 p.m. PDT

  • October 9, 5:31 p.m. to 10:12 p.m. PDT (not a typo! It ends at the same exact time as the last moon-void-of-course period, but the dates are different).

  • October 11, 7:56 p.m. to 11:37 p.m. PDT
