Full Moon in Capricorn: June 2026

Full Moon at 8° Capricorn: June 29, 2026 at 4:57 p.m. PDT

Astrologically, the Full Moon is the time to celebrate your successes and progress this lunar cycle. Be your own cheerleader! And don't forget to give thanks for the blessings in your life, too.

And then, once you've basked in the glorious glow of this Full Moon, set intentions to release what no longer serves you.

Capricorn energy tends to be ambitious — you can accomplish a lot. But when lacking balance, it can create an unhealthy focus on achievement, to the exclusion of everything else. You may secretly feel that you're not as competent as you'd like, or find it hard to express your emotions. Others might see you as too reserved, or even unfeeling.

The Full Moon in Capricorn is opposite the Sun in Cancer, highlighting the need to balance your professional and personal life: the drive to branch out and accomplish things in the world, and the need to reconnect with your roots and the grounding stability they bring. After all, after reaching the pinnacle of a career, many of us come full circle — family and home become more important as we grow older.

This Full Moon also invites you to release any fears of getting older. Affirm with me: "I embrace the wisdom and power that come with age." Personally, I love that as I get older, I no longer question my worth — and I've come to accept and appreciate that we all come with imperfections. That's part of what makes each of us unique!

While intentions related to Capricorn will get an extra boost on this Full Moon, don't feel limited to them. Anything you want to let go of is fair game.

How To:

  1. Set aside about 30 minutes after the Moon becomes full.

  2. Prepare your space. You will need to focus on your intentions. It may help to light a candle and burn some incense. A black candle is traditionally associated with removing things from your life, but a white candle will work as well.

  3. Spend a few minutes writing in your gratitude journal (or simply make a list of what you're grateful for). This is IMPORTANT — don't skip this step. By thanking the Universe for the good things in your life, however small, you're energetically aligning yourself to receive more blessings.

  4. Focus on what you want to release — behaviours or circumstances that don't serve your goals. Truly feel your intentions. Fear of incompetence doesn't serve you. Focusing on work to the exclusion of everything else in your life doesn't serve you. You deserve every success in what you do professionally, and you have the knowledge and skills to back it up. Leave those fears behind.

  5. Keep repeating your intentions over the next two weeks. The entire Waning Moon phase is good for releasing what no longer serves you.

Sample Intentions:

"I want all fears of being incompetent lifted from me."

"I want my career ambitions to be healthy and not interfere with the rest of my life."

"I want my workaholic tendencies gone from my life."

"I want to find a healthy way to express my emotions, so that I don't appear cold and uncaring to others."

"I want all fears of getting older to be lifted from me."

"I still can't believe it. I've been talking about moving/buying a house for decades but never felt it was within my reach. Having those specific intentions, written clearly, helped me focus on achieving those goals. Nothing dropped in my lap — I had to make the effort — but a moving walkway appeared at just the right moments to help me over some challenging spots. From now on I'm going to work WITH the Universe!"

"Since each lesson builds on the previous learnings, I really liked the progression. There were great insights along the way and tips to avoid potential pitfalls, timed just perfectly for the stage I was at.

After completing the course, I continued applying what I'd learned. Not long after, I discovered a job opportunity that aligned with my skills — my exact goal. I was hired after just one interview. Previously, I'd been through multiple rounds with no offers. Combining the course teachings with real-world action led to a streamlined, successful outcome!"

  • Hi Astrology Scorpio, thank you so much for your insight on the fixed stars. I’m hoping to start working with them more in the future; it’s a fascinating topic. And, I 100% agree! We’re going through a very powerful and important period of change. I think of it as a watershed year, much like 2020 was, but with a very different energy.

  • Thank you for this valuable analysis.
The influences of two fixed stars are also noteworthy during this full moon: Wasat, conjunct the Sun, and Antares, conjunct the Moon.
We are going through an interesting period of change.
Pluto in Aquarius, Uranus in Gemini, Saturn in Aries, Jupiter in Cancer, and Neptune in Aries.
In the long run, many things will change in ways most people cannot even imagine. When Pluto leaves Aquarius and moves into Pisces, people will be grateful for the new meaning.

  • Hi Monica, nice! It illuminates your Ascendant, making it easier for people to “see” you and notice you for a couple of days around the Full Moon. And considering your Ascendant is in Capricorn, it’s a good time to project authority and responsibility, so it might be a nice Full Moon for you personally. And it definitely would be a fantastic Full Moon for you to release any self-limiting beliefs around 1st House matters. For most of us, it’s about our body/appearance.

  • The full moon will conjunct my ascendant at 1 degree capricorn, does this mean it gets extra intense and cappy? Little bit scared actually.
