The Eclipse Season and Mercury Retrograde are behind us now - phew! April brings many good dates for love and romance, career, negotiations, and spiritual pursuits.  Nice! 

Mars and Mercury both enter Aries, joining the Sun, Saturn and Neptune. April brings yet another stellium (several planets close together), between April 10-20, this time in Aries. 

Which House is in Aries in your chart? The themes represented by that House may be in the spotlight for you personally in April.  Mars and Mercury are very active this month, too, making many planetary connections.

If you're an Aries, your 12 months could be a very important period in your life.  It's a good year to book a Solar Return reading, to learn about your year ahead.

The Sun enters Taurus on April 19.  Happy Birthday to my Taurus readers ♉🎉

And, Venus and Uranus follow each other into Gemini - Venus on April 23, and Uranus on April 25.  Uranus's entry into a new sign is a big deal!  Uranus shakes up and energizes everything it touches - more on that below. 

All Planets Are Direct

All the planets are now direct! The annual cosmic "green light" period is here.  This year,  it lasts from March 20 until May 6.

It's easier to get new undertakings off the ground when all planets are direct, so if you have anything big and important to launch, pay attention.

Uranus Re-Enters Gemini

The biggest news of the month is that Uranus re-enters Gemini, where it's going to stay until 2033.  We had  a 4-month taste of this energy in 2025, and now it's returning.

It's yet another (!) energy that amps up technology advances.  We've been living with AI for a while now, but technology will continue evolving in leaps and bounds in the next few years. 

The downside is this:  Uranus in Gemini is associated with wars and unrest.  Sadly, this ramps up another energy we're experiencing:  Neptune and Saturn in Aries.  They, too, can bring the desire to solve problems and disagreements with force, including military involvements. 

While in Gemini,  Uranus is going to make several spectacular trines with Pluto.  Last time we had them was during the roaring 20s, when the stock market kept booming and it seemed like the fairy ride of money and glamour would never end.  Of course, we then had the Great Depression but....history often rhymes, but it doesn't have to repeat itself.

OK, let's take a quick look at each week, to help you plan your month ahead.

April 1-5: 

April kicks off with a radiant Full Moon in Libra, on April 1 at 7:12 p.m. PDT.  

This is a fantastic Full Moon to ask the Universe that old romantic hurts and disappointments are lifted from you.  After all, they may be hindering you from being fully open to the relationship of your dreams!

It's also a great Full Moon to ask the Universe for help with being a people pleaser, or being trapped by paralyzing indecision.

On April 2/3,  Mercury trines Jupiter and Venus squares Pluto.  The energies are helpful for negotiations and important presentations, but be aware that the Venus-Pluto square is not the greatest for financial decisions. In relationships, power struggles are possible.  Don't get sucked into other people's drama.

If you celebrate Easter, the weekend can be fraught with ego clashes during get-togethers with the extended family (the Sun square Jupiter). Stay calm and do your best to enjoy the occasion.

On the plus side, you might have a good time making big plans with your family members - just remember that Sun-Jupiter squares are over-optimistic and don't always bring what they promise.

April 6-12:

Mars is on the move this week. It sextiles Uranus right before it enters Aries, and makes a conjunction with Neptune on the weekend.

The early part of the week is great for anything that requires putting yourself out there and getting out of the rut (Mars sextile Uranus).  Try to stay away from anything too intellectually taxing, however, as your mental reserves could be quickly depleted. 

The weekend is great for spiritual pursuits and charitable work (Mars conjunct Neptune).  And! The energy of a highly beneficial Venus-Jupiter sextile is starting to come in (it peaks on April 13).

If you're single, don't spend the weekend lounging in your PJs watching TV. Venus-Jupiter aspects are great for approaching that cutie you've been eyeing, in person or on a dating app - and they are also great for first dates or other important relationship milestones.   

The Venus-Jupiter sextile is also good for financial activities.

April 13-19:

This week is bursting with positive, optimistic energy.  Love, romance, career, personal empowerment, spiritual pursuits - it's all for the taking, so don't squander this week!

The positivity and good cheer of the Venus-Jupiter sextile carries into April 13.  The energy supports love, career and finances. Nice!

April 14 is a fantastic day for spiritual or artistic pursuits.  The Moon enters Pisces, and the stars align into an extended Opportunity Period.  (I'll write more on this in my weekly post).

The Moon turns Balsamic.  April 14, 4:52 a.m. PDT to April 17, 4:32 a.m. PDT is an inauspicious period for new beginnings.  Do something that replenishes you. And if you can't sit still, declutter!

Clean your Inbox, donate old clothes you no longer wear, and while you're at it, throw out that candleholder your ex-mother-in-law gave you, that forever reminds you of your difficult marriage. Why are you carrying this energetic residue around?

And then, get ready for the New Moon in Aries, on April 17 at 4:52 a.m. PDT. Set intentions for what you want to attract into your life. Think of it as a request you're sending to the Universe - but it's also a good way to focus your own energy toward your goals, too.

The Moon is void of course until 8:58 a.m. PDT, so you want to save your intention setting until then. It will still work. 

Mercury sextiles Pluto on April 18 -  it's a very good day for research or for a cognitive therapy session.  Deep breakthroughs are possible. 

On April 19, the Sun enters Taurus.  Happy Birthday to my Taurus readers! And, Mars makes a conjunction with Saturn.  It's a good day to roll up your sleeves and work on something that's been on your to-do list for a while. Mars-Saturn aspects reward patient effort, but there is a downside, too:  they can throw a monkey wrench into your plans.  If patience is in short supply by the time your weekend rolls in, don't frustrate yourself and chill out instead. 

April 20-26:

This week brings another big planetary shift of the year:  Uranus re-enters Gemini.  But that's not until the weekend.

April 20 is perfect for problem-solving and finding innovative solutions to any problems you may be dealing with, in your personal life or at work.  Mercury forms a conjunction with Saturn and Mars in Aries.  But, you may also be tempted to say things you don't mean.  Stay kind.

On April 23, Venus meets with Uranus in Taurus, and then moves into Gemini.  Relationships that start on April 22-23  (think a first date) can be irresistibly magnetic, but they may not last.  If you're already in a relationship, it's a great day to do something new together, that helps you break out of the rut.  

On April 24-25, the Sun gets into a power tussle with Pluto.  It can be an emotionally volatile day; if you value your peace of mind, stay away from power-hungry people. 

And, Uranus enters Gemini on April 25! 

On April 26, Venus is supported by Neptune - it's a great day for a romantic date.  The beneficial energies for love and romance continue until May 1.  What a lovely stretch! 

April 26-27 are also two great days to make healthy lifestyle changes, with the Moon waxing in Virgo.

April 27-30:

The supportive energies for love and romance carry into this week.  Venus trines Pluto on April 28, and sextiles Saturn on May 1.

If you're single, April 26-May 1 are a fantastic window to look for that special someone!
