Astrology Forecast for February 2024

Start the month with clearing out what is no longer working for you. Then set your intentions for positive change on the New Moon in Aquarius. If you need to get unstuck, this Aquarius Season has just the right energies!

Sit out the days around the Mars-Pluto conjunction.  Then take advantage of some great energies for love and romance.  And if you need to sign or negotiate a contract, pitch an important presentation at work, or cinch a commitment, try to schedule them at the end of February!

All Planets Direct:

All the planets are direct in February and March, until Mercury turns retrograde on April 1.  When all planets are direct, new undertakings and major decisions tend to be off to a good start.  It's like a big green light from the Universe!

The Sun + Three Planets in Aquarius:

Mercury, Mars and Venus follow each other into Aquarius throughout February, joining the Sun in Aquarius.  The energy of innovation, liberation and change is very strong this Aquarius Season, especially between Feb. 8 - 19. If you feel like you're stuck and can't break out of an unhelpful situation or routine, these are two excellent weeks to try and get unstuck.

Clear out what no longer serves you (I recommend a fun activity to break stagnant energies later in this post).  And then invite new beginnings on the New Moon in Aquarius this month.  "I want to easily find a new and successful approach to solving <the problem you have>" could be a very powerful intention to set on this New Moon.

One caution here: this Aquarius Season, the energy is also very rebellious, and at times volatile. The Sun squares Uranus on Feb. 8, and Mars conjuncts Pluto on Feb. 13.  If contemplating a big change in your life, make sure you don't throw out the baby with the bathwater, so to speak. And, stay away from dark places and volatile people around Feb. 11-14, as a Mars-Pluto conjunction can bring a lot of volatile energy.

Uranus Stationed at 19° Taurus:

Uranus, freshly out of retrograde, is moving verrrry slowly in the skies.  In fact, it stays at 19° Taurus for the entire month, and until mid-March, adding to the energy of liberating change.

If you have personal planets or angles between 17-24° Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Aquarius, Leo or Scorpio, chances are, you're feeling this energy. January could be the month when things can get "unstuck" for you, and you may be welcoming change into your life (or resisting, depending on your natal chart!).  And, your life could also feel a bit frenetic at the moment.

Jupiter-Saturn Sextile:  Good for the Economy

Jupiter and Saturn come to within 1° of making a supportive sextile, but it doesn't become exact.  This energy is supportive for the economy - and for you personally, if you have natal planets between 3-8° Capricorn, Pisces or Taurus.  The energy will peak between Feb. 4-7.

And What About Valentine's Day?

February can be one of those dreaded months.  "I don't want to spend another Valentine's Day alone!", say my single clients.  "I don't want the pressure of finding the perfect Valentine's gift and staging the perfect romantic evening!", say my clients who are in a relationship.

And then, there are those blessed souls, all starry-eyed and swept in a romantic wave...💖

So here is the lowdown on the best dates for love and romance - whether you're single or not!

We do have some great romantic energies this month, but they are AFTER Valentine's Day!  Read the forecast for the week of Feb. 12 and Feb. 19, where I highlight some great days for that first date or a romantic outing.

So that's February 2024.  And, before too long, some very big and bold energies start setting in - the most impactful astrological events of 2024! If you want to learn more about the big picture of the year, and how it may affect YOU, my webinar "Navigating 2024: What the Stars Have in Store for Us" is now available as a recording.  It comes with several helpful extras, such as power dates of 2024. You can order it here. You will receive instant access.

Now, let’s look at each week in detail.

Note that all the dates I mention are for Pacific to Eastern time.  The energies I mention peak on those dates, but we’ll feel them for 24-72 hours in advance.

February 1 - 4:

Early February is not super eventful, but that's not a bad thing!

 Feb. 2:   Mercury sextile Neptune

A good day for artists and writers! Creative energies are high.

 Feb. 3 1:55 a.m. to 7:24 p.m. PST: Opportunity Period!

Opportunity periods are those magic times in the Lunar Cycle when the planets align just right, aiding specific undertakings.  And this one is great for driving the projects already in progress to completion, and "ending things for good" (think giving up smoking or cutting sugar out of your diet).

 Feb. 4: Mercury enters Aquarius

Mercury is the planet "responsible" for communication and our thinking patterns, among other things. When it moves through Aquarius, it gifts us with the ability to shift our perspective where needed, and to think outside the box.

Mercury will stay in Aquarius until February 23.

February 5 - 11:

This week is all about the need for change.  Not matter how scary it seems, sometimes radical adjustments are needed for new, better things to take root.  Clear out stale energies on the Balsamic Moon this week.  And then, get ready for the electrifying energy of the New Moon in Aquarius!

Feb. 6 is the day to start my digital course, MoonManifest. It's not just another manifestation course! It's aligned with the Lunar Cycle, for maximum results. You'll be doing a number of hands-on activities, after all.  And so every month I recommend a specific date to start the course. This month, it's February 6.

✨  Feb. 5:  Mercury conjunct Pluto

A great day for "getting to the bottom of things". Book that discovery meeting at work, to get to the bottom of your clients' issues (if you are in a field like product management or business analysis, for example). It's also a great day for cognitive therapy.  Big breakthroughs are possible.

Pluto is still fresh in Aquarius.  It got there just a couple of weeks ago, on January 20!  Today is the day when some of the upcoming themes of Pluto in Aquarius may get highlighted. Pay attention to the news.

✨  Feb.6 2:59 p.m. to Feb. 9 2:59 p.m.:  Balsamic Moon

This is one of those times in the Lunar Cycle when starting anything new is not to your advantage.

The Balsamic Moon is our time to tie up loose ends for the month, in preparation to plant seeds for new beginnings on the upcoming New Moon.

It's a great time to do some energy clearing. This Balsamic Moon will culminate in a New Moon in Aquarius.  Try breaking stale energies in your home with sound. If you have kids, they will delight in this activity!

And if you just can't sit still, declutter instead! It's an excellent time to purge your closet, organize your files, and clean your home.

This Balsamic Moon also brings an amazing Opportunity Period:  Feb. 6 4:08 a.m. to Feb. 7 11:52 a.m. PST.  All these Balsamic Moon tips that I just gave you? If you do them during this Opportunity Period, it will supercharge them.

Opportunity Periods are particularly auspicious planetary alignments during the Lunar Cycle.

✨   Feb.7: Venus trines Uranus; Mars sextiles Neptune.

There can be unexpected surprises around love and money.  If you need to give your relationship a refresh, try something new, an adventure for the two of you.

If you're single, you can find love in unexpected places today.

Mars and Neptune are quite helpful today: they blend reality and dreams into one beautiful landscape!

✨ Feb. 8: The Sun square Uranus.

The need for independence surges today.  People around you - or you, yourself! - can be more stubborn than usual.

✨ Feb. 9, 2:59 p.m. PST:  New Moon in Aquarius

This New Moon is perfect if you feel "stuck" and need change, or if you want to find "your tribe" - a circle of people who get you.  Set your intentions! Intentions for success with online dating or social media will also get a boost.

The Sun and the Moon are both square independent Uranus, highlighting the themes of personal freedom and independence.

✨  Feb. 10:  Mercury square Jupiter

An optimistic day, but don't promise more than you can deliver. People with grandiose ideas can show up today.

✨  Feb. 10 5:42 a.m.. PST to Feb. 12 4:32 a.m. PST Waxing Moon in Pisces

Best time of the month for spiritual pursuits. Intuition is heightened.

On Feb. 11-12, the Moon is conjunct Neptune. This is a powerful celestial support for energy work (all of you reiki healers!) or for connecting with the Divine.

February 12-18:

Well gosh darn it, we do have some great romantic energies this week, but they are AFTER Valentine's Day! Early to mid-week are dominated by the Mars-Pluto conjunction, and it's a volatile energy that can bring clashes of will and provoke violent tendencies. When Mars and Pluto are conjunct, square or in opposition, violence tends to erupt somewhere in the world.

But, as the weekend approaches, a different energy sets in:  passion. Mars and Venus are starting to build to a conjunction, that we will feel next week.  And, Venus and Pluto connect in their annual embrace on Feb. 17.

If you want to delay your Valentine's date until the weekend, you have a good reason astrologically 🙂

✨   Feb. 12:  Mars enters Aquarius

The need for independence is boosted - and so is the stubborn streak! Especially if you're an Aquarius. Mars will stay in Aquarius until March 22.

✨   Feb. 13:  Mars conjunct Pluto; Venus sextile Neptune.

Just as soon as it changes signs, Mars conjuncts Pluto, freshly in Aquarius. Watch for the news around Feb. 13, as they might highlight the themes we'll experience for the next 20 years, when Pluto stays in Aquarius.

Mars conjunct Pluto is also a volatile energy that can provoke violence and aggression.  If someone in your environment has anger management issues, minimize contact with them.  And stay away from dark places and dangerous people.

The Venus-Neptune connection softens things a bit, but it's not going to override the powerful Mars-Pluto energy.

✨   Feb. 16:  Venus enters Aquarius; Mercury square Uranus.

Venus follows Mars into Aquarius, highlighting the need for equality in relationships.  Relationships where one partner is too clingy can experience a rough stretch. Venus will stay in Aquarius until March 11.

And, with Mercury square Uranus, flashes of insight are possible, but stubbornness goes up several notches, too.

✨   Feb. 17: Venus conjunct Pluto

Call in a soulmate relationship! As long as you don't shy away from a lot of intensity 🔥🔥🔥

And, if you're already hitched or seeing someone, Feb. 16-17 are two good days for a hot date.

✨   Feb. 18: the Sun enters Pisces

Happy Birthday to my Pisces readers!

Make some time to connect with your intuition this Pisces Season. Keep a dream journal.  Work with crystals.  Meditate. Learn Tarot. Surrender to Divine Timing.

February 19 -25:

This week kicks off with a very lovely and long Opportunity Period!  And, Venus and Mars connect in a conjunction. We will feel this energy until Friday. If you have a passion project you'd like to get off the ground, get going! It's also a lovely stretch for a belated Valentine dinner or a date.

By the weekend, the Full Moon in Virgo calls us back to reality, but provides some very helpful energies, too.

✨ Opportunity Period!  Feb. 18 7: 25 p.m. PST to Feb. 20 10:38 p.m. PST

A great time to get your projects off the ground. This opportunity period is versatile and suitable pretty much for anything you want to grow.

Opportunity periods are those magical times in the Lunar Cycle when the planets align just right, aiding specific undertakings.

 Feb. 21:  Venus conjunct Mars

Passion and zest for life! The energy will peak on Feb.21, but we will feel it building several days in advance.

A great day for a first date or approaching someone on a dating site, especially if you're looking for some passion in a relationship.  And, if you're already in a relationship, why not have a date night tonight?

 Feb. 22:  Mercury enters Pisces

Mercury in Pisces boosts imagination and our ability to connect with the Divine.  If you're a creative writer, write!  But, attention to detail might suffer. Practice grounding.

Mercury will stay in Pisces until March 9.

Feb. 24 4:30 a.m. PST: Full Moon in Virgo

Set your intentions to release perfectionism, tendency to judge or be critical of yourself (or others), feeling like you're never good enough, unhealthy habits, excessive weight, and the clutter that doesn’t serve you (emotional or physical).

Venus is square Jupiter today, too:  if you're a big spender, leave your credit cards at home.  Tendency to overspend can be high today, New relationships started today can promise more than they deliver,

February 26 - 29:

Another lengthy opportunity period arrives this week! Monday and Tuesday are two great days to network and connect with others. Energy can be high, but make sure you don't overcommit!

There is an energy shift by Wednesday. If you're planning to have a serious conversation with someone, it's a great day.

✨ Feb. 26 6:29 a.m. to Feb. 27 10:22 a.m. PST:  Opportunity Period!

This long opportunity period is great for communication, social connections and networking.

Opportunity periods are those magical stretches in a Lunar Cycle when the planets align just right, aiding specific undertakings.

✨ Feb. 27:  Mars square Jupiter

Don't overcommit today.  Energy is high, but a reality check can be helpful.

✨ Feb. 28: A Sun-Mercury-Saturn conjunction

A great day for serious conversations, commitments and contracts.

✨ Feb. 29:  Mercury sextile Jupiter; Waning Moon in Scorpio

A good day for presentations, contracts and negotiations.  And, if you need to "end things for good" (for example, give up smoking), the time to do it is on the waning Moon in Scorpio! It will boost your resolve.

Have a wonderful February!
