July starts off with some tense energies but then the “planetary weather” improves quite a bit.
From July 1st until July 8th there is a lot of tension (a T-square) in Fixed signs: Mars and Venus in Leo oppose Saturn in Aquarius and square Uranus in Taurus, which can lead to anger and frustration. We want to express ourselves freely and have fun! That’s Mars and Venus in Leo. But there may be some sudden twists and turns (Uranus), and annoyance with restrictions (Saturn). Here we are, almost tasting the end of the pandemic. And yet, here in Canada masks are still mandatory for the time being, and some of the COVID restrictions are still in place…while our inner child, cooped up through COVID restrictions, wants to enjoy the summer sun!
But, once we get to the New Moon in Cancer on July 9, the energies improve quite a bit. This New Moon is great for setting intentions for an improved relationship with your parents (especially your Mom), a successful home purchase, and the ability to nurture others and yourself in a healthy way.
It just gets better from there. Mercury enters Cancer on July 11. As it travels through Cancer until July 27, it will connect favourably with the Sun, Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces, making July a great month for communication-related activities, and especially for creative writers and those working on a family history, whether it’s writing or memory books.
With all this Water energy harmonizing, it’s also easier to express emotion and speak from the heart. Connect with your loved ones. Ask them how they are doing. Ask your co-workers. Too often we busy ourselves with our daily lives, forgetting to express to those around us that we care! And Cancer energy is very much about caring.
The vibe will change quite a bit when Mercury enters Leo on July 27. With Mercury in Leo, it’s the time to “toot your own horn”. Update testimonials on your website. Spruce up your resume. Jot down your professional accomplishments this year, for your next interview. Tell your boss about YOUR role in the big project that was just delivered. Acknowledge others though, too. Leo energy also calls us to express our appreciation of others. Tell your loved ones and your co-workers what you appreciate about them!
There is more good news, especially for lovers: Both Mars and Venus start the month in passionate Leo. Wow is that ever supercharged! This planetary combo brings a lot of playful, sexy energy to July.
Mercury-Related Pursuits: Communication, Legal Contracts, Vehicles, Electronics and E-Commerce
Yes yes yes! We got through Mercury retrograde in June. If you’ve been waiting to sign some legal contracts, buy a vehicle or an electronic device, launch your blog or your e-commerce site – July is your month!
Just wait until July 7 though. On July 6 Mercury will form its final square with Neptune (illusions, confusion). Mental fog might pose some challenges leading up to it, and especially on July 5-6. July 6 is NOT a good day for new endeavors ruled by Mercury.
Auspicious dates for Mercury-related pursuits:
July 12: Mercury trines Jupiter. A great day for communication activities, and especially for creative writing. If you need to sign a legal contract, this is an auspicious day as well.
July 20: Mercury sextiles Uranus. A great day for a brainstorming session – innovative ideas might come easily.
July 24: Mercury trines Neptune. Another fantastic day for creative writing, or for journaling your spiritual path.
Venus-Related Pursuits: Love, Money and Personal Values
Venus is challenged in early July, until July 9 to be exact. If you’re planning to have a cosmetic procedure or a drastic makeover, buy a luxury item or approach a significant love interest, wait until July 9.
Venus is a key player in the skies on your wedding date. It must be well positioned. On July 13 Mars and Venus conjoin in Leo. Ooh la la! This is a super-sexy, playful and creative energy. July 12-13 are two great days to go on a first date, or to schedule some play time with your significant other 😉 Or get married! Especially if you’re looking for passion in your marriage. But also, July 13 offers some very good planetary connections all around, making it a good day for many Venus-oriented pursuits.
Charge a carnelian or red jasper on July 12-13 (leave them in the sun for a few hours). Set a strong intention to bring healthy sexiness into your life. Then leave your crystal on your bedtime table and connect with it every now and then. For those magically inclined, June 12-13 would be perfect for a charm to boost passion in a long relationship.
On July 22, Venus in Virgo opposes the planet of luck and opportunities, Jupiter. Romance – and finances! – get a helpful boost.
