The New Moon on Dec. 30 is perfect if you're going to set new year resolutions.  Just remember that Mars is still retrograde, so January is better for strategizing than putting your plans into action.  A nasty Mars-Pluto opposition rears its head again this week.  And, healing, creative and spiritual energies arrive just in time for the weekend.

The first week of December is incredibly eventful!

December kicks off with a New Moon in optimistic Sagittarius. Mars turns retrograde and Neptune turns direct.  We have two long Opportunity Periods! These are the times through the Lunar Cycle when the stars align just right, aiding specific undertakings.

And, if you're into spiritual or creative pursuits, don't miss Dec. 7-8:  a five-star stretch of cosmic weather for those working with energy and artists. 

December brings a lot of retrograde energy, but it also has a few great highlights too!  There are a couple of fantastic days for spiritual pursuits, some very good dates for romance, with the most auspicious energy of the month arriving on Dec. 19 (Pacific to Eastern time), when Venus makes a trine to Jupiter.

After 4 ½ months in Retrograde, Saturn, the planet of responsibility and commitment – but also of challenges and restrictions – turns direct on November 15. And when it visits our natal chart, that's exactly what it's asking us to do - to become (even) more of an adult, regardless of our age.
