This Mercury Retrograde overlaps with the eclipse season.  A double whammy for making important decisions!  But, it's a great energy for reviewing your finances and reconnecting with your values.

Eclipses are wild cards in astrology.  They tend to electrify the areas they touch, to shake them up and revitalize them.

That plays out on the collective level as well as on a personal level, if an eclipse connects with your natal chart.

So what can we expect from this year's eclipses? 

March was a big month astrologically:  Saturn and Pluto both changed signs, starting big energy shifts that, in Pluto's case, we'll feel for over 2 decades! 

April is another eventful month: it brings the eclipse season, and the first retrograde of 2023. Yes, Mercury will turn retrograde on April 21...

The first two weeks of April have some excellent energies though, including a once-a-year Sun-Jupiter conjunction, one of the happiest, most expansive celestial influences of the year! 

The first of this year's major planetary shifts is happening on March 7: Saturn moves into Pisces. What does it mean for you?

March is a big month astrologically!  Some of the most impactful planetary events of 2023 happen this month: Saturn and Pluto both change signs.  And this brings an energy shift that  we will feel for months - and years! -  to come. 

There is a lot of celestial activity overall, promising a lively and eventful month.

Some of the luckiest dates of this year happen in March, too!  If you're working with manifestation, take note. 

The New Moon in Aries on March 21 is another manifestor's Moon: it's manifestation power is 10 out 10.

February has some very lovely highlights, even though it's a quieter month astrologically.  Now March - in March we will get big celestial developments, with Saturn and Pluto both changing signs. And that's a very big energy shift that we will feel for months to come!  Enjoy the tranquil gifts of February, before things start heating up again. 

January starts with Mars and Mercury both retrograde, but the month ends with lots of forward momentum.  All the planets are direct as of January 23!

It's a brand-new year!

Three planets change signs in 2023:  Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. While Jupiter changes signs every 12 months, and Saturn every 30 months, when Pluto changes signs, it signals a huge (even if slow), generational change.

The nodal axis moves again, into Aries-Libra, highlighting relationships (including international relations).

What's more, this will be followed by more major shifts in 2025-2026, as Uranus and Neptune will also change signs!

The world is heading into an important period that may feel like a new era.

When Saturn moves through Pisces, it shows us the reality of our lives for what it is (good or bad).  It can feel like a letdown - THIS is what the world is now, post-pandemic?? But, it also has a huge silver lining.

We start 2023 with Mercury and Mars both retrograde.  If you set your New Year resolutions, it might be best to wait until Jan. 18, when both planets are direct again.  It can be more difficult to see your goals and direction clearly when both Mercury and Mars are retrograde. 

Better yet, save your New Year resolutions until Jan. 21, when Mars and Mercury are both direct, and the New Moon in Aquarius sails up, making it easier to see new and unexpected solutions to stubborn problems.

Jupiter, the planet of expansion and opportunities, re-enters Aries on Dec. 20 2022. Jupiter expands everything it touches, and here it will be waking up courage, and the enterprising and pioneering spirit.  Which House is in Aries in your natal chart? Jupiter invites you to take more initiative and to be bold and courageous in that area. 

December brings excellent energies to get excited about your year ahead - and then to start making some practical, concrete plans.  It might be best to delay New Year Resolutions until mid-January though.  Mercury and Mars are both retrograde as we welcome in 2023, favouring introspection.  But, if you`re a party animal, the planets have you covered!  The year ends with a Venus-Pluto conjunction: a great energy for a glamourous (and loud) NYE.
