Other than Jupiter, no planets move into new signs in 2024.  Some of the year's energies will feel familiar.   And we'll need it, because more big shifts are coming in 2025/2026, when Saturn, Uranus and Neptune all change signs!

But, this year also brings a few new themes - and they are very exciting! 

This last Full Moon of 2023 is a powerful time to give gratitude for the good things that came into your life this year.  And to release anything you don't want to take with you into 2024! 

Intentions related to the shadow Cancer qualities will get an extra boost though. 

I love that astrology keeps us connected with the energy flow in the Universe. There is time to be aspirational, blue-sky and envision your boldest, biggest dreams for your life - Sagittarius Season.  And on the heels of that, practical, goal-oriented and ambitious energies of Capricorn Season set in, helping us plan HOW we're going to make these dreams happen.

This New Moon, in Sagittarius, is THE day of the year to ask for a boost of positivity, joy, and luck in your life. Those hoping to publish a book or an online course - Sagittarius also rules publishing, so get ready to set some intentions!

Three planets change direction this month: Mercury turns retrograde, and Neptune and Jupiter turn direct.

Astrology keeps us connected with the larger cycles of the Universe. As the Sun travels through the Zodiac, each month we get a chance to “try on” the qualities of that sign. When the Sun is in Sagittarius, cultivate an abundance mindset, connect with the biggest, boldest dreams for your life, and challenge your assumptions. It's one of the biggest manifestation seasons of the year! 

Astrologically speaking, the Full Moon is the time to celebrate our successes and progress this lunar cycle, give thanks - and then to start releasing what no longer serves us.

This Full Moon is great for asking the Universe for help help with social media addiction, overwhelm caused by too much information and messages, sibling rivalry, and tendencies to second-guess yourself.

For the manifestor, this New Moon is THE day of the year to connect with your
superpower (we all have at least one!), to invite more passion into your life, and to ask for transformational change if you feel stuck.  

It's also a great New Moon to ask for increased resolve and determination to accomplish something.

And that “something” can include getting rid of unhelpful habits (good-bye, smoking!), debt, or deep-seated emotions such as guilt, resentment, envy and jealousy. And so it’s a very powerful New Moon, but also very healing.

I remember attending a team meeting with a group of young interns we hired. I was checking in about their experience at work so far. For many, it was their first job. "Well, I guess that's what being a working adult feels like", said a dark-haired young woman, lighting the Zoom meeting with an infectious smile. "Adulting is hard!" I heard this phrase before, and still it made me laugh. It was so perfectly Saturn. 

After 4 ½ months in Retrograde, Saturn, the planet of responsibility and commitment – but also of challenges and restrictions – turns direct on November 4. And when it visits our natal chart, that's exactly what it's asking us to do - to become (even) more of an adult, regardless of our age.

November starts with strong Scorpio energies, great for business and career pursuits - but also for shadow work, counselling and research. But, watch out for a judgmental Sun-Saturn square on Thanksgiving!  The best energies of the month arrive between November 14 and 22. There is a strong and powerful T-Square (a dynamic and tense energy) in the skies at the time of the eclipse. The ruler of this eclipse - Venus- is well positioned however.  She is a part of a lovely Grand Trine (a beneficial energy flow) that also includes Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto.

This eclipse can bring some unexpected shake ups and developments, and some unexpected reversals - especially in financial matters. They may be for good OR bad. 

As with all eclipses, the energy is unpredictable but also very, very powerful.
